I chose MNIT Jaipur for my M. Tech in embedded systems is primarily because of its reputation as an Institute of national importance. I had also applied to other top NITs, but could not secure a seat due to the high gate cutoff. The admission process is through the CCMT portal based on gate scores. Eligible gate papers (CS, ECE). The process is transparent, involving online registration, choice filling, seat allotment, and document verification. I had not applied for any other college. But I had choosed some other colleges like NIT allahabad, NIT Delhi and NIT kurukshetra in my jee council. But I got this college. And I think I got the best among them all. Eligibility critera was minimum 70% marks in 12th exams. Also, around 95 percentile in jee mains(for general) and 90 percentile around for sc/st. I am not aware of obc. However, this criteria change every year depending upon competition. Cut off was not given on marks, it was all about percentile, marks were out of 360.
