Remarks

The admission process was online. We had to fill in our info on the government website for technical education admission. After allocating college through CAP round, we went to college, submitted documents and fees were collected from us. This was the admission process.

Course Curriculum Overview

Yes, the curriculum is quite good for students. 70-30 criteria are there. 70 marks for end semester exams and 30 marks for In semester exams and internal marks. During this pandemic, everything was online. All conducted well.

Internships Opportunities

Pantech solutions provided internships for college students previously with no stipend at all. College staffs recommend going through the Internshala platform for best internships with stipends. Students attend internships of their choice.

Placement Experience

Infosys, Wipro, TCS visit our college regularly and hire students through off campus drives. The minimum pay scale offered is 3 LPA till now. Also, International companies do visit our college. There Will be more drives to arrange yet.

Fees and Financial Aid

I'm from the general category, so I applied for Chhatrapati Shahu Maharaj Shishyavrutti Yojana(EBC). The fee structure is not that feasible for general category students so we had to apply for scholarships. I am currently shortlisted for an Infosys interview through the college campus program. It's quite good about campus programs.

Campus Life

During the pandemics, colleges were closed so there were not that many extracurricular activities conducted at college. Some were conducted through online mode like quiz, group discussion and all. And there are many clubs for students in college.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus.
