Remarks

I have applied for an MTech in the government college of engineering Aurangabad. I have taken admission from the government quota. The admission criteria for MTech is based on the Gate score. The admission process is done through the CAP round. The government of India has taken 3 CAP round for admission.

Course Curriculum Overview

The staff/teacher of the government college of engineering Aurangabad is best. All the faculty members of very helpful. They will always help student and their teaching methods are also very good. As it is an autonomous institute the term exam is taken by the college itself.

Internships Opportunities

Tech Mahindra, Infosys, and so on companies offered internships for students with a stipend. My project is Direct torque control of induction motor drive and I have gotten almost all clarity and I have completed all the tasks of my project.

Placement Experience

From last year students become eligible for campus placements. Capgemini, Infosys, Tech Mahindra and so on.. companies are visited. There is 4 lacs of highest average package as per the company. There are a maximum 30 to 50 percent of students getting placement. I want to do a lecturership at GECA after the completion of my degree.

Fees and Financial Aid

As I am from SC caste so I have fees concession, and as it is a government college, the cost to study is less. I have got the post matric scholarship from the government of India. No, I have not got a stipend because I am not geting a qualified student.

Campus Life

In February month, the Birth anniversary of Shivaji Maharaj is celebrated in our college. There are lots of books are available in the GECA library and journals also. Lots of extracurricular activities are taken by the college faculty members.

Placement Experience:

Explain this in chronological order first any person need to complete degree with at least 50% above then only they will be able to sit in the placement. Placement rates are high if you have in depth knowledge about your study. Most of the times company visit Amazon and take Mahindra highest packages 1.5 lakh to 4 lakh. now after getting the degree my goal are to get job any company in Stastitical Department.

Life in GECA, not so good but still you enjoy it.

Due to the reputation of being a government college and autonomous status and also due to city vibes, I chose this one. I was getting private pune engineering colleges but the fees and other expenses dosen't make sense to the features they provide. You need to give mhtcet examand score maybe 90+ percentile to make your sure your place. And cutoff for tech branches of cse, it, ENTC is pretty high. Minimum 95 percentile is required....Read More

GECA(GECCS) review from a first year

I applied to a few colleges like VIT mumbai, DY Patil Akurdi and Thadomal, i didn't get admission in thadomal and DYP, but i did get admission in VIT Pune, i picked GECA because it's closer to my house.
