Remarks

I applied to government colleges only because I would like to study there. and not attend non-government colleges. I belong to the general category so no quota of admission was given. there were no age criteria and have to pass plus two and pass the entrance exam. There are some counseling provided, the admission process was simple document verification mainly.

My goal in life is to become a mechanical engineer, that's why I choose this course. The faculty-to-student ratio was about 1:10. simple teaching method of faculties which is understandable for students and good interaction with students from faculty side. The exams conducted was at correct timings and the level of questions was easy to moderate

Class Size: 57Course Fees: INR 45000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

for government seats, the fee was about 35000/sem and for management seats, it was about 74000/sem. some scholarships are provided within the college, the campus placements are good overall and some financial assistance also provided from the college

Campus Life

the annual fest named sagnika was conducted in May 2020 and the tech fest recently conducted in April 2020 named vidhyuth. All books required are provided within the library and some journals are also provided. amenities in classrooms are average. Not good sports activities provide and no good ground also but some extracurricular activities are provided. some apps are provided by students like ktu guru app.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester and internship from 3rd semester. You can apply for internship on your own right from first semester but college gives aid from 3rd semester. The major recruiter is ISRO which offers 40-45 jobs for aerospace engineering. Also other companies like CDac Airbus Boeing and DRDO and HAL visit for recruitment. Nearly 85-90% students get placed while some opt for Higher education and research too. My primary goal is to get into ISRO also I will be preparing for gate examination to complete my IIT dream.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I was never interested in engineering. I passed KEAM entrance exam. So my parents forced me to become an engineer. Since I was interested, I thought food technology might be a good branch in engineering. So I got admission in KUFOS through allotment. The course is actually good . In the 1st year, you study basic engineering, 2nd year onwards food related courses are taught. If you are a student who only have the intention to study you will find this college easy to adjust. They provide all facilities to study. There is no particular frequency for a semester. Even though academic calender is there for each batch it is not followed properly. In this college the course may last upto 4.5 years. Due to this reason the students ask the management to cut shot semester breaks so that they won't loose 1 year.

I only have postive thoughts about that campus. The campus helped me to remove my pre-occupations, inhibitions, fear etc. It gave a lot of memorable moments, large number of friends.
