GIET Inside

The admission process was very simple and easy. We just need to walk to the admin office and they will guide us to fill the form. They will ask for our previous certificates with some passport-sized photographs and photocopies of aadhar cards if its available. I came through the EAMCET exam. I scored the rank of 50,000. I had also other colleges for options but this college was the best among other colleges. I was from a general category so i didn’t get the scholarship opportunity but if you are from another category then you can get the scholarship opportunities. My tuition fee was 35,000 per year plus 4,000 added(JNTUH fees) and 1700 for library fees. There are not any criteria for the admission process if you come through the EAMCET process but if you want direct admission without passing the EAMCET exam then the fee structure will be high than the usual(about 50k to 70k per year). Each semester I had to pay 750 for exam fees. The bus feee was moderate.

My college had a total of 5 courses available for B-Tech i,e CSE, ECE, CE, EEE, and ME. But i was from the CSE department because GIET was famous in the area for its faculty members of the CSE department and similarly i was also keen on software development. They were 15 faculty members in my department. Everyone was equally talented and was very helpful. The way of teaching was very impressive. They used to clear all the doubts. Their more focus was on the technical part i.e practical part rather than theory. In my class, we were 60 students in the ratio of 40 Boys to 20 Girls. Among 15 faculties members, 5 had Ph.D. degrees while 10 members had M-Tech degrees from a reputed university. We had 2 internal and external exams in each semester. The exam is not so easy to pass. It depends on you. If you try hard to focus on your studies then it is very easy to pass.

You can get internship opportunities if you have a good overall performance. But don’t expect internship opportunities if you don’t have good technical knowledge. I got an off-campus internship opportunity in Tech Mahendra on the project of Blockchain but they didn’t provide any stipend. This internship helper to develop my final year project.

There are not many placements in this college. But if you work hard then you easily get placed. The companies for placement in this college are Q spide, J Spider, Infosys. The highest package is 8LPA. The average package is 3.5LPA. 45% of the students were placed on my batch. After getting the degree i planned to go for higher studies.

The fees structure is moderate. If you come after passing the criteria of the EAMCET exam then you will get additional benefits. Mostly Telangana government will provide scholarships so you don’t need to worry. In my 4 years of engineering, i didn’t see any hike in the fee. The fee was constant during my academic period. I had to pay only 35,000 per year. Coming to placement it's moderate in this college. Don’t expect any MNC to come to this college. Only very few private companies and start-up come up to this college. I got selected in the Q Spider institute. So you cant expect Q Spider to approach this college.

The campus life is very good. You get to enjoy a lot. Evey year Orsa is celebrated in this college where every student participates in different events. The orsa is celebrated for 7 days. Every day some sports are played or some technical and non-technical event is conducted. The winner is awarded with the trophy along with a certificate on the last day of orsa. Besides this, every department conducts some fest where the students from other departments also get the opportunity to participate. The library is very huge. Almost every book is available. But if you don’t return the book until the deadline you have to pay the fine. There is football, cricket and volleyball grounds in this college. You can take the permission and can enjoy the sport. The PT sir will guide you. There is also an E-cell i.e entrepreneurship cell where every student can present their idea. Coming to social programs they do have some.

The hostel is attached in the college campus itself. The security is good. There will to guards to look after you 24/7. The food is also good. They had veg and non-veg section. The registration process is simple. You just have in the admin office and write an application to the dean or the principal. There are also rooms available beside the college if you are not interested. The locality name is Moinabad.
