Entrance Preview

I have done my commerce in XIIth standard got around 81.6 percent through CBSE board Exam. I Opted this college because this was most renowned college and one of the oldest college in Tamil Nadu and in India as well where all the students wanted to study.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

Course curriculum is good but need little more improvisations based on Internships and training so the students can be molded very well to cooperate world . But collage as such is a good opportunity for an individual to learn and explore her talents .

Internships Opportunities

No, When i was studying there were no internships as such . But i believe later they had introduced to the course which is a good thing for the students.

Placement Experience

3

Six years down the lane , placements were lesser. I think few companies like Google, Teach India , Dell and few others had been part of the campus recruitment . I am not really sure about the numbers , but compared to other competitive colleges , placements was less.

Fees and Financial Aid

I am not sure about good scholarship / loan facility offered by college. I think there where few but not sure on the names.

Alumni/Alumna

Yes , the Alumni is very much helpful. They also host different programmes to keep in touch with the upcoming batches.

Exam Structure

Exams were semester wise. We had internal exams as well as external exams. It was not hectic as we could balance our studies well. Since they took the best two from the internal marks to consolidated on the final percentage of marks which was an added advantage.

Admission

Admission was fully on Merit Basis and i got the admission through merit seat after applying. Admissions usually start by the end of April - May every year. During that time merit list was put up every two weeks. We need to go and check every now and then , based on Merit list admission was given.

Faculty

4

The faculties where knowledgeable and helped us throughout the course. They have experience and they understand the students very easily and they also share their experiences with us. We had good relationship with them throughout the course . Most of faculty had pursued Post graduation when i was studying .

The placements in sastra is immaculate they have nothing to complaint of .Students from my course given placement training and eligible for placements from third year. Large scale of campanies have visited. some of them will be Tata consultancy(TCs), Paypal, federal banks ,Infosys etc. The highest package was 90000 per month and average package was 25000 per month. Students who have 8.5 cgpa or more will have pretty good offer from reputed companies. Plans after getting my degree is to do masters in abroad.

Placement Experience:

In MCC there is placement but it's not 100% placement, only 10 to 20 from a class of 60 gets placed, so when it comes to placement it's upto to you and your skills. Normaly the placement enrollment starts at beginning of your 5th semester or end of your fourth semester, you can opt for placement or higher study. The highest package was from Standard Chartered & Deloitte it was 6 Lakhs CTC. Accenture, TCS and some well known companies will participate in placement drive. The average package will be Rs.3.5 Lakhs CTS. I'm planning to go for higher studies while doing a part time job after getting degree.
