Remarks

I got a seat in my college through csab counseling. Qualifying jee mains exam is compulsory for admission in our college. I went to my college portal for the registration process. The admission process went very smoothly without any difficulty.

Course Curriculum Overview

I selected metallurgical and materials science engineering because I am interested in it. There are sufficient faculty in our college. The faculty are highly qualified and did PhD from premier institutes like IIT, NIT etc. The teaching method is very good. For each semester there is mid-sem and ended. Exams are of high standard.

Class Size: 107Course Fees: INR 171575 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internship opportunities in our college is good. Two students from my branch got selected in Tata steel for an internship this year. Many companies offer internship opportunities, so students have good opportunities.

Placement Experience

Placement begins at end of the 3rd semester. Many giant companies like Tatasteel,vedanta come for campus placement. Placements in my college is good. The overall placement is 91.6%.The final placement of my branch is 91.65%.The highest placement of my branch is 11lakh per Annum ,average is 6lakh per Annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee is 8lakh for the btech course. There is a scholarship available for those who need it. There is good financial assistance in our college. There is a fee remission facility available. The placement is good in our college.

Campus Life

The annual fest is conducted every year. There is a large central library which has a very good collection of books. There is the Diamond Jubilee lecture hall complex which has very good facilities required by students. There are many clubs in our college, I am in team revanta.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
