Entrance Preview

MHTCET, I scored 100 marks in this exam. I had no other choice than this college but I am happy with it.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

This college falls under Savitribai Phule Pune University. Curriculum is followed according to university. It is good enough to make u good in both academics and also practical knowledge. There is scope for research. Laboratory are well equipped and teachers always give guidance towards research.

Internships Opportunities

Yes, college provides internship during fourth year and many good companies participate for giving chance to students. Students are chosen and are given chance to get into companies like Mahindra, Suzuki, etc in different branches.

Placement Experience

3

There are plenty of companies in Pune and most of them are IT and mechanical based. There is good placements for mechanical branch and renowned companies like Mahindra, Maruti Suzuki, and many other IT based based companies show interest towards this college in picking the students. There are packages upto 12 lakh per annum.

College Events

2.5

There are various clubs and events organised at college level but they are not that big and there are less students in college attracted towards it. There are holidays for major festivals. The membership and competition for various clubs are good. There is also some emphasis on cultural activities done through Firodiya Karandak held.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee structure is feasible. The fee structure is according to caste and reservation. These are according to norns followed by government. Half fess for OBC category students. One fourth for SC ST students. The total fee for general category student is 95 thousand.

Fees and Financial Aid

There are no scholarship offered by college but there are scholarships given by government on basis of category as in General, OBC,SC, ST.

Campus Life

3.5

The college has very small campus and girls ratio is also very less. There is no proper ground in college and it is some what conjusted. There is no racism and ragging in college. Student diversity is seen in college. There are cultural societies and there are events based on them. There is focus on extracurricular activities like debates, robotics, etc.

Hostel Facilities

2

There is college hostel but it is not that feasible and facilities are not that good. Seats are very less compared to students in college and so most of students find place in private hostels, PG and flats. The PG and room rents are much costly in Pune. PG rental is around 4000 per month which is much expensive.

Exam Structure

There is very nice schedule of lectures and labs are conducted everyday. There are enough teachers for lab also and they are supportive towards research work. There are Six exams in a year. Out of them Four are online exams conducted by Pune university and two are Theory exams. The marks for passing are 40 out of 100.

Admission

I gave MHTCET in which I secured 100 marks. Then CAP round held by DTE Maharashtra was done through which I got this college. There were four Cap rounds in which I got this college in first round itself. It is at centre spot of Pune city. Administration is good and helpful.

Faculty

4

Teachers are good enough and supportive and most of them are localities as in from Maharashtra itself. They also make students understand the topics and if required then in local languages. There is always a supportive nature shown by faculties towards studies and also extra curricular.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Soo ever since kid i was interested in bikes this interest was all for me to take this course , my father is very bike enthusiast and it came down to me , i could easily take mechanical and other engineering cause these are common courses which involves automobile , but since i wanted to follow my passion , i wanted to do specialization in automobile itself and DPCOE was offering this course with great facilities and knowledge providing us a path in this lane of career in this field. According to me curriculum prepares us quite well as they conduct workshop which are relevant to outside world where we'll be working. If there were more practical workshops for us to work on would be great cause automobile engineering is all about practicals rather than theoroticals Professor should try teaching in physical part rather than taking lectures and explaining the concept by just words

Yes there is placement cell of STES which is no different than other tier 3 engineering colleges offering a tier 3 average package depending on who is the recruiter. Students become eligible for campus from 3rd year of their degree. Highest package is something around 55 lakhs offered to a computer engineering student, and average is just like I said for a tier 3 college 5-6 lakhs(above or below). Almost everyone gets placed in the company but some might not.
