Course Curriculum Overview

Since it is online teaching, so teaching process in some of the subjects are not good in virtual mode, but yes all faculty members are helpful and always try to make all concepts very clear. Exams are going as per the schedule announced. And those who study regularly can easily score good marks.

Internships Opportunities

Internshala from different IITs even offers us internships in various programs such as android development, machine learning, marketing, etc. Projects are being introduced to students in which field they are interested and do training for 6-7 months for acquiring a certificate which really helps in future.

Placement Experience

By the end of the third year, Students are eligible for participating in campus placements hoping for positive results. Approx 80-90 companies offer a placement with good packages and even sometimes some companies offer double placement 95% of students placed in our branch every year.

Fees and Financial Aid

Since it's online mode now, no hostel and Mess fees are included. Only institute fees is been taken semester wise. Till now, we are in 2nd year but from next year we will do internships in various industrial programs for getting a good stipend and campus placement in a good company.

Campus Life

Cultfest was conducted in October. Because of this pandemic, the selection process is going in online mode. A lot of various types of books are there in the library (including all subjects) All types of sports are being played, like cricket, hockey. Basketball, football, tennis, volleyball, etc. and various league and knockout tournaments are held every year. There are many clubs such as Sankalp, Daksh, revanta etc.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
