Remarks

The admission process because of this covid time has undergone a certain number of changes like we had to pay 35000 +40000 to josaa. Earlier we used to pay only 35k to josaa and the rest of the amount to the college. But overall it was a smooth process.

Course Curriculum Overview

I am enrolled in the mechanical branch in nit Jamshedpur and the faculty members of the college are well educated. But the problem with the professors is that you won't like to attend their classes because you just can't understand what they are teaching.

Internships Opportunities

In the core sector internships are less as compared to non. Core sector. But whatever companies visit the campus for internships they are quality companies for the core sector like Tata Steel, Bajaj, Vedanta.

Placement Experience

From the 2021 batch, 92% of the batch was placed and 100% placements were observed in cse. Branch and in the mechanical department 96% of the branch was placed. The average package stood at 9.38L and the highest package was 16L in mechanical.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure of the college for students is 8.44 L and the scholarships provided for the students is mainly on the basis of family income. 2/3 rd of the tuition fees are remitted if annual income is between. 2L and 5L

Campus Life

The campus life at nit Jamshedpur is simply amazing. There is a central library where students can explore various books. Sports culture at nit is too good. Urja is ours. Official annual sports fest.

Hostel Facilities

There are a total of 13 hostels in college among which 9 are for boys and 4 are for girls. From the 2nd year single occupancy is there with a private balcony. The mess food is alright as compared to other nits.

Overall Review of NIT Jamshedpur

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum exam ready for students of mechanical engineering it focuses on industrial level exposure and for other competitive exams like gate and IES with good faculty who teaches almost all concepts. There are labs for each subject in which we get real world application knowledge. Also course is updated regularly as per the requirement of industry . The course can we improved by making course more practical rather than a writing all things on practical it should include project for students. Frequency of exam is that in every 15 days there is a exam with moderate to difficult level.

Placement Experience:

7th Semester students become eligible for placements. The highest package is offered by Rubrik in 2025 of 1.41 CR(domestic) High paying jobs are mostly for SWE/SDE roles. Percentage of students getting placed in CSE/AIML is 75, ECE 69, EEE 60, Mech 58. My plans after gettting degree is to get into job sector only for a while. No such higher education plans as such.

Placement Experience:

At BIT Mesra third is like full of practice for placements and final year more of placements activities than studies. So, when all these things are in order placements obviously will be more or less certain and here they are certain only with almost 90% students are places through campus with annual placements of 8-10 lakhs per annum.

A Genuine Review

Placement Experience:

From 5th Semester onwards student are eligible for internship but from 7th semester they are allowed to sit in campus. Various companies like PayPal, Wipro , cognizant ,TCS ,Genpact ,Amdocs etc. Highest Package this year is 35 lpa and Average Package is around 7.5 lpa. Around 90% of students from circuital branch and around 80% students from non-circuital branch has been placed so far this year. My plan is prepare very smartly for campus placements and bag a very good PPO from are tech based company.

I applied for NIT Raipur NIT Durgapur and NIT prayagraj I selected this college NIT Jamshedpur because it has top class placement and the branch I was getting as mechanical engineering which is a decent branch. I got rejected from NIT prayagraj due to little less rank . The admission process of my colleges you have to qualify JEE mains with around 95 percentile to get any branch as a general student then you have to go for Josaa counselling in which you will be a lot at the seat . Detailed review of nit jamshedpur

I did choose this college because it is quite old and reputed, being a govt college it has lesser fees and offered good placements, I got IIIT Lucknow as well, but didn't opt for it as it was quite new and didn't have proper hostel and residence facilities at that moment.
