Remarks

I have applied to Lingaya's Lalita Devi Insititute of Management and Sciences for the course of Ba(JMC) in the year 2018. The admission criteria were smooth and steady. The college 1st-year fee is 76000 per year and the eligibility criteria include 10=2 with 50 % in class 12th. On the counselling day, the teacher assist us (me and my parents) and gave us the college tour, and told us about the college working mechanism and teaching and classes schedules including the extracurricular activities. Later she asked for all the documents required as she pre-informed us through the mail and started the application process and this procedure took around 20 to 30 minutes. After this, you are required to do the payment and your admission process is completed.

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

I always wanted to pursue my career in Ba(JMC) so I opted for the same. My college gave me good opportunities every classroom teaching was an interactive session as the student teacher ratio was 40:1. Apart from this, we have given smart classes lessons and assignments and group activities in labs to enhance our theoretical as well as practical skills. Every faculty person is either PhD qualified or master qualified with extensive dept knowledge about the field as well as teaching methods. At the end of the year were given an online form for the feedback session of our faculty. Moreover to check the class performance in every semester Internal examinations were taken including the practicals to teach the student about the ideal situation during the external examination.

Internships Opportunities

1.5

I didn't get any kind of internship paid or unpaid from the college nor anything related to the internship opportunities was posted and updated to the students. Apart from this the faculty prepared and help the students in finding internships and preparing them for the one.

Placement Experience

1.5

College somehow lacks in conducting the placement drives. The management needs to work on the placement area. Even though a placement drive is happening during the covid with the help of links and emails but a face-to-face discussion and interview had its own advantage. Also, the college should conduct a seminar for students for understanding the tactics during the placement drive.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college does not provide any kind of scholarship only offering is by the IP University for the students who belong to an economically weaker section or score more than 80%. Even I didn't opt for any scholarship as the fee were reasonable enough according to the facilities provided. Regarding placement, the college somewhere lacks in this field. College management needs to work on the placement drive.

Campus Life

3.5

Every Year an annual fest is conducted in February every year apart from this then there are around 3 fests more including the IP University fest and departmental fest. The college is good in cultural activities but they lack somehow in providing the support and equipment for the same the students had to manage everything by themselves. Recently the library is been upgraded and proved many varieties of books related to our curriculum as well as novels. Even the books are available during the whole college hour and the library is fully furnished and air-conditioned with computers and a sitting capacity of around 100 people.

The college has really more to do with its placement cell because students are not getting opportunities as they expect. The companies which come for placement drive are from limited domains and they also offer very normal package.

The placement cell of our college is functional and active. The chances depend on the course that you have opted for. The placements are really good for commerce, economics, Maths, Stats but for the other department's students it might be a bit challenging to find a company of their domain. The students become eligible to sit in placement from 5th semester. The companies that visit my college are Godrej, BCG, McKinsey, Nation with Namo, Blackstone, Accenture, KPMG, EY, citibank, microsoft and Amazon etc.
