Remarks

As after the IIT-JAM result, Students went through screening process where they can choose there college in a preference order and Myself choose IIT-Kanpur above than IIT-Delhi, After providing specific amount of seat booking fee, I received offer letter from IIT with whom we need to attach an medical form, and received a date of joining. Admission process were took around 7 days and admission process were smooth, and then journey starts, I choose IIT Kanpur because of great research opportunities in the field of science as well as world class faculties and facilities for students, Green and beautiful campus and some bad aspects i can say is every wherever you see you will find construction work going on, and there are so many things to do, you will think that you are missing so many things.And Now just passed master's programme and happily lived over there.

Student ratio with faculty is 76:56 i.e. 3:2 and all the faculties are super qualified and there teaching method are a bit old school means they focus more on books and research articles. An amazing part is IIT kanpur i believe is one of the IIT who conducted there exams timely and nicely with projects, theoretical and laboratory chemistry.

I am here giving idea about placement of M.Sc. chemistry student : It's pathetic, only 2 companies came by and 0 placement of any student. Apart from this if you want to do phd from abroad then this is the best place for you.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Fee Hike policy for chemistry students is almost negligible and mostly all the students get some specific scholarship, I also got a scholarship worth of 40k in my first semester and the placement section for M.Sc. Chemistry is below average according to IIT standards, i remember for M.Sc. Chemistry only 2 company's came and they didn't even hire a single student from all 38 bright minded students.

Campus Life

Life at campus was super chill apart from exam time which was super stressful days although these days have biggest part in making us to survive any situation because in these days we started living in library day and night which contains almost all the journals and books require for depth understanding of our subject. In the free time I usually prefer to go for bicycle ride and also I was a regular workout person.

We didn't face any GD, Interview or any other type of question for admission, only entrance exam that was IIT-JAM necessary for M.Sc. chemistry admission in IIT-Kanpur, and process for IIT-JAM started around September and exam happened on second Sunday of February. and i joined ASF institute for the preparation.

Placement Experience:

The placements of my college are average and the students get decent packages. Students are eligible for the placements from the very beginning from the 7th semester. The companies visiting hbtu are samsung, exxonMobil, TCS, FMCG, IBM, Hindustan Unilever, Global Logic, Adobe, Paytm, HCL technologies, Nestle, Asian Paints, Britannia and Dabur etc. The highest placement was 32 lpa while the average was 7 lpa last year . Last year almost 75% of the students were placed. My plans are to take a good placement from the college and side by side i'm working on my startup idea as well .

Usually after 3rd sem, students star getting internships. And for compaines visiting our college, except amazon (they blacklisted us). Almost every top companies do visit the college. Highest package was 59LPA, and the average for cse is 12-13Lpa. 99% students get placements. Many students goes abroad for mtech after graduating from snu, i'd like to do the same but after getting a year or two job experience.

the placement of college is good because mid of 7th semester company visit in a campus and many comapnies are come in college like maruti suzuki, TATA, HERO motors,schlumberger ,crompton,tricolite ,cummins ,etc 40-50 company visit in campus and the heighest package is 12lpa and lowest is 3.6 lpa and the student have 60% in average of all 6 semester and 90% student have placed after the degree my plan is a good rank in GATE and masters from IIT colleges

I choose this college becouse of its flexible acdemic structure and its great Alum connections. Also this is the best college i am getting according to my rank and my interest in mathematics. I have Applied for IIT delhi in electronics. IIT Delhi is also a great college but when it comes to academic focus IIT delhi lacks there. Also there faculty administratation is so strict. if a student wants to start something or he/she has a new iniative for the college , he/she will face hard time. So I couldn't make it to IIT Roper CSE branch because my jee adance rank is not that great for the Roper' Computer science. So the Admission process here at IITK is not difficult. You just the originaly document which you have submitted in your josa counselling portal and you need to verify it once here usually a couple opf hours work. I chose IIT Kanpur over othe rcooleges because of its academic reputation, research opportunities and strong alumini network. I was also able to get seats in other IITs but I preferred IIT Kanpur due to its legacy . I didn't face rejections, but did not opt for some colleges even after qualifying due to lower research output, weaker placement stats.
