NIT PATNA

NIT PATNA civil engineering branch is oldest in India and it was established even before independence. Many notable alumni like Nitish Kumar , Ratan Kumar Sinha etc. passed out from this college and students here had positive reviews. College is located on the bank of river the Ganges and list green campus. Only downside is the area of campus. Its NIRF RANKING is 92 and also placements are quite good.

Faculty student ratio is quite good and there are total 172 faculty in college whereas B. Tech intake is 812. Almost all the faculties are Ph.D. holders from reputed college from NIT, IIT , IISc and some from foreign universities. Faculties are very cooperative towards students and there teaching method is unique and knowledge oriented. They try to impart practical knowledge in students. Also they are doing there research work in collaboration with many organisations like CSIR. There is relative grading system and exams are held timely, end semester in December and April- May. Exam level was moderate hard.

Internship and training is available through training and placement cell offered in 6th semester. I am currently in 5th semester so yet not opted for it.

Placement is very good with highest package 48 Lacs. Several reputed companies like Amazon , Flipkart , Adobe , Oyo , L&T, L&T INFOTECH, TCS , Tata Power , JOHNSON & PRISM , Jio , Reliance etc. visit the campus every year. Above 90% of students were placed with good packages. Some of the students were also offered pre placement offers. I am planning to study further for Ph.D.

There is ample opportunity for students from all background like for students having family income less than 1 lac tuition fee is reimbursed , for students having family income 1-5 Lacs 66% tuition fee is reimbursed and different scholarship are also available. Stipend is available for M. Tech and Ph.D. students for teaching and research assistantship. Hostel and mess are also affordable.

Life is good and campus is green with the view of river Ganges. All the classroom and labs are well furnished with smart class availability. In library many books are available related to academic and non-acadmeic courses. Library has good variety of journals like ASCE, ASME , IEEE and various other reputed journals. CORONA & MELANGE is the annual cultural and tech fest held in the month of January-February and various technical workshops, fun events , Hackathon are conducted. Sports facility is quite good with a multi purpose football, cricket field. Also facility for table tennis , badminton , squash , board game , gymnasium etc. are available.Many clubs like IEEE , ASME , CESC , Coding Club , Robotics Club etc. are functioning and regular event and workshops are being conducted.

JEE MAIN , 2018 , 97.7 percentile

I wrote JEE MAIN and through JOSSA seat were allocated. JEE MAIN is one of the top exam for admission in engineering colleges. I prepared through coaching and with the help of online nptel lectures available. Then we have to report for admission process where documents are verified. Admission process was quite smooth and staff were very cooperative.
