BIM is an experience

BIM is a 37 years old institute with rich alumni base and also has good reputation in corporate. The batch size is small which is an advantage as it gives opportunity for every student to display their talent. The only disadvantage I find is its location. It is located in the outskirts of Trichy and hostels are similar to government quarters. Also, the diversity of the batch is low.

The curriculum is dynamic. It is revised every trimester. The curriculum is designed in such a way that students are ready for this VUCA world. Faculties are highly qualified. Every faculty tries to connect the theory with the practical aspects with emphasis on case studies so that students could relate and take the learnings to the industry. Also, industry experts come as visiting faculty to take specialised courses.

Every student gets internship with most of the projects are inclined towards finance and marketing.

Placements are decent. Almost everyone in the batch gets placed. Currently the average CTC is 9lpa . The best part of the placements is the transperancy of the placement committee. Every student knows what's happening from uploading resume to the final list of selection.

The best part of BIM is campus life. There are 16 clubs and committees which are completely run by the students, with every student being part of either one club or committee. Events are conducted round the year. We say, Life at BIM starts after 10pm.

For GD, I was in group of 8-10 people and the topic was related to current issues. PI, there was panel of 2 people. Questions were focused on past academics, work experience, situational based and current issues. Overall the process was smooth.
