Remarks

With 2008 establishment the College has its own permanent campus with 525 acer of land. The infrastructure provided here are fantastic with fully Air conditioner lecture halls and 24*7 working Computer labs and Library. However the market is far from the campus but the college has arranged its own buses for it.

Course Curriculum Overview

The chemical engineering branch has a broad area of work and being interested in the chemistry it made me choose this field. But the reality is different. Chemistry and chemical are both different fields. Yet chemical engineering is a intersting course to persue. The faculty here are well experienced in the field with a very good work experience in the research as well as in the chemical industries. In chemical engineering we have 2 term exams and the exam difficulty level is intermediate.

Placement opportunities in the college is very good. From 4th year student become eligible for campus placements. 37 companies has visited which includes Amazon, Google, Zomato, snapdeal, Tata motors, mahindra, BPCL, Larsen & turbo, Byjus, Flipkart, Vedantu, swiggy, Coal india limited, Anglo eastern, indus vally partner, astria, practo, tinyowl etc.

Campus Life

Zeitgest (Cultural fest), Advitiya (Tech fest) and Aarohan (Sports) are one of the best fest in the north India and many singers, dancers and comedian have been invited to conduct the shows. Almost all the books which are needed are available in the library. Pehchaan ek safar is the social group which is lead and run by the students of IIT Ropar. In this social group students visit slum area and provide free tution to the children. All clubs in IIT Ropar are run by students (2nd year student) with different Secrataries (3rd year Btech Students) keeping records of everything.

Pros and Cons of LPU

Placement Experience:

In our course in bsc agriculture the placement is not that much that much good but in other courses like B.tech CSE in that courses there are the very high placements one of our senior get 2.5 CR package from LPU and one of our senior also get 3 crore package this is highest package and the average package of B.tech CSE is 5 to 10 lakh If the campus is not offering placement to me I will go for government exams or going for entrepreneurship also offers good package but not that much good the bsc agriculture sector wants needs more improve improvement in placement cell yeah that's all but if a person wants to do semester exchange also in foreign countries so over University will also provide some guidance to him and they will support the students to go for an exchange for foreign semester exchange programs and there are two many things also

Placement Experience:

The placements at LPU are decent, the University provides placements to almost every student. The placement cell here is really very active. More than 1000 companies visit LPU during placement drives providing average package of 6-7LPA in CSE field. The highest package recorded was 2.5 crore from robotics and automation and 64 LPA in CSE department. 99% of students at LPU get placed. My plan after getting the degree is to join the corporate and work as a SDE or AI/ML engineer at MNC.

However some units feel outdated and could be revised to match the latest industry standards . The best out of best about iit ropar

I applied to iit gandhinagar electrical engineering and got rejected as my jee advanced rank was not as par as required to take the course.the admission process of our college is based on an examination called jee advanced and if u get a good rank and pass that examination u can enter our college.i also applied for iit hyd,iit jodhpur etc in which I have got an admission in another branch as I said earlier as I like the electrical engineering branch I joined iit ropar .or college might be worst in sports in comparison to other iits but they are always better than other iits in reasearch orientation side...Read More
