It's based upon Tamil Nadu board exam marks. The entry is based upon board exam marks in physics, chemistry, maths. Maths marks is divided by 2 and physics and chemistry marks are divided by 4. Put together it totals 200. Being the top mark as 200 all the colleges are alloted based upon the corresponding marks.

The course curriculum was bit outdated when I studied but now improvement has been made. It had four maths paper and core subjects like strength of materials, fluid mechanics, thermodynamics, gas dynamics and jet propulsion, Power plant and automobile engineering.

Nothing like that when I studied. Recent days they have developed contacts with industries and are providing good internships to the students.

Mostly software companies dominate the placement, core job opportunities are very low. The major companies are CTS inautix, ist global, TCS, window, Accenture, bioda technologies. The core companies include titan, low, Shanti gears, jockey, soliton.

It is nominal. The hostellers pay around 107,000 INR annually inclusive of food and accomodation charges. The fees is payable by middle class families and college also provide educational loan facilities which can be made use of by the needy students.

College offer scholarships for individual department toppers and high scoring candidates in the twealth board examination annually. They also provide fund for excellence in extracurricular activities for students.

There is no restrictions for communication between boys and girls. Their is also no racial discrimination based upon ethnicity and religion. Their is also a Temple nearby for Hindu students. Muslim and Christian students are given permission without any difficulty for their festivals.

Three internal exams for fifty marks and one external exam for another 50 marks. The three internal exams are based upon continuous learning process and hence forth it will help student to gain good knowledge and be updated with the subject. It also helps to get good marks in the final exam.

All the faculties are above average but only a few are exceptionally good. Many were doing doctoral degree and all are post graduate fellows. Some also had completed value added courses. The college also supports them for doctoral degree and hence they are encouraged to proceed their master thesis.
