Remarks

I applied for GIM, TAPMI, IIT Kharagpur, and CAP IIMs. I attended all interviews. The minimum CAT / XAT score required was 80%. The admission process was held in the campus, there was a Group Activity followed by IRMASAT exam and interviews

Course Curriculum Overview

4.5

The course is a mix of general management and rural management, and I chose this course because of its uniqueness, as it is one of the very few courses in India which prioritizes rural, where management is more needed. Faculties are qualified with PhDs from top universities around the world and also a deep research and industry experience. The teaching method is amazing overall, most faculties put in a lot of effort for the students. The exams were always held on time, and it was easy to pass.

Internships Opportunities

4

Internships also attract all the companies which are listed in the placements such as Amul, Big Basket, Ninjacart, Licious, Mapro, ICICI Bank, Yes Bank, Texel, Vedanta and many more. All of the students get internship opportunities, incorporate as well as development roles. The interns are offered opportunities to work mostly under marketing roles, followed by finance and operations.

Placement Experience

4.5

Students get placed in the final placements during the second year. During internships, all of the students were placed. Final placements also have a track record of placing all students in the campus. GCMMF is the biggest recruiter for internships as well as placements. Besides, other good companies also visit such as Ninjacart, Vedanta, Big Basket, Licious, Texel, Mapro, Crompton and many more. The complete list is available on IRMA's website.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees are on the average side when compared with the other top colleges of the country. It got hiked recently. I did not get a scholarship, so I am unaware of the details but many people were able to get it.

Campus Life

5

The campus life is incredible. Events happen every week, be it technical, cultural or traditional. The library is very unique, and historic with a lot of content starting from the 1980s. Classrooms are air-conditioned, well lit, equipped with projectors, desks, benches, mics, and every other facility. There is a seperate building for sports where students can play Badminton, Table Tennis or even Snooker. The ground is large enough for playing football and cricket simltaneously. Besides, there's a basketball court and a volleyball ground. As far as the indoor games are concerned, there's sufficient provision to play chess, foosball or carrom. The campus is lush green, and every event is celebrated with enthusiasm. Student run clubs include Sports, Cultural, Marketing, Finance, Operations, Jigyasa (Quiz Club), Laasya (Dance), INAM (Dramatics) an many more.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

Hostels are single rooms, with basic amenities like a bed, multiple cupboards, chairs,s and a study table in each room. Rooms are well lit and well ventilated as well. Each room has an attached balcony. Bathrooms are shared, but clean and spacious. Overall, hygiene standards are high. Meal quality is good and the menu is also very diverse.

Interview Experience

5

I faced a group activity, a case-based discussion where a situation was given along with multiple possible alterntives to the situation, and then we had to discuss each alternative in front of the panelists. The group activity lasted for around an hour. The interview revolved around work experience, undergraduate background, rural management, and basic HR questions. Before the interview, there was also an IRMASAT exam which tested us on the knowledge of rural India.

The University is one of the top private universities in India. Ranked 2nd among Best colleges in Gujarat by Times. After reading this article, I searched its official website online and read it's detailed brochure and couldn't stop myself from the application form and the second reason were my grandparents as they live in Gujarat. It asked me to fill all my personal details regarding 12th marksheet scoring 72% and BBA in which I scored 75%. Further I gave CAT exam with 85 percentile. After submitting all these documents I got call from the university accepting my admission.
