Remarks

The admission process is quite simple, the majority of seats are filled through the HSTES portal by 2 round counselling, though there is an offline admission mode also. NO Quota Applied in my case. Admission in B. arch is based on your JEE paper -2 score or NATA score.

Course Curriculum Overview

Faculty-Student ratio=1:8 Most of the faculty is senior and have complete PhD and Masters from SPAs,& IITs. Exams were taken on time & it's easy to pass them. In every new Semester, the Design faculty is changed to give students different opinions and views of perceiving Architecture.

Class Size: 80Course Fees: INR 55000 per year

Students in the last year of their course are eligible for Campus placements. 300 + recruiters. 86% overall Placement. Highest package - Rs. 28.75 Lakh Per Annum. Average Package - Rs. 6 Lakh Per Annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

The total fee is around 55,000 per year out of which around 45,000 is paid at the beginning of the odd Semester and the other 10.000 is paid in an even semester. Concerning the Architecture course, the affordability is very high.

Campus Life

The college has a 3-floor massive library, you can find any book you want. There are 5 studios in the architecture department. Societies & clubs related to social welfare, drama, art, dance, bhangra, music, many more.

Reality Of DCRUST

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose to decide this course as it is a profit course with some creative thinking going on. The curriculum of the college does not prepare at all for the real world applications or further academic pursuits. The curriculum doesn't include what is latest in technology. For example we have few elective subject which we are not allowed to choose as the college does not have the faculty for those subjects and neither do they try to get the faculty for these subjects and say that you cannot choose this subject. The areas of improvement in course curriculum are a lot. The students teach better than teachers via their presentations. The teacher just sits idol in classes and give students a topic to give presentation and teach other kids. The exams are conducted semester wise which are not at all difficult. One just needs to go through previous year papers and he will pass with good marks. The internal marks are given by teachers on the basis of how much a teacher likes a student. the work you do does not matter at all for them.

On 23rd January, students of School of Architecture and Planning (SoAP) conducted their third SoAP day wherein the students of all three years (2014-2016 batch) exhibited their work. The event was inaugurated by our Honourable Vice Chancellor, Prof. Dr. D.K. Jha Sir. Deans, faculty members and students from all the Schools of the University attended the event. A soap carving competition was also organized for the students where in Dheeraj and Ishan of 2nd Year won the first and second prize respectively. The event was a great success and everyone appreciated and encouraged the students for their commendable work.
