Remarks

I had applied for DY Patil but I did not join the college cause they had really low reviews for faculty. I had admission through the open category so there was no extra provision. There are no specific criteria for admission you just have to score average marks in CET to get in.

Course Curriculum Overview

Most of the faculty has a Master's and pursuing a Ph.D. The teaching method is very monotonous. The faculty is average you have to take efforts on your own if you want something more out of this curriculum. Exams are conducted in semester patterns. It's not very difficult to pass but you definitely need to work to excel in the course.

Placement Experience

The students are eligible for placement from the 7th semester. Persistent, Cognizant, Capgemini, TCS are some of the companies that visit. Most of the packages range from 3-4.5 LPA. The highest package range from 8-10lpa but very selective candidates are eligible.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee for the general category is around 80000. You can avail of government scholarships if you are eligible. I got the scholarship through EBC, half of the tuition is reduced by this scholarship. The campus job recruitment is average. Most of the recruitments are for the IT industry. If you want to work in the core then you have to go off-campus on your own.

Campus Life

There is an annual fest during the month of January or February. The college campus is limited so there is no extravagant fest. There is a common library which has a limited collection of books of each course available. The classrooms have a projector installed. The sports activities are pretty good.

COEP Technological University through my eyes.

Placement Experience:

Good placements are offered by this college. Top companies like Tata Motors, Bajaj, DE Shaw, Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo, Wipro pari, etc. Average placement for mechanical branch is about 9lpa while that for computer and entc goes up to 15lpa.

Experiences with MMIT, Lohegaon

I selected this college by seeing the number of companies coming for the final year students to get places, and further when I visited the college I found which was not there in any of the reviews which is the staff and how they treat the students, how they want us to carry ourselves and whatnot.
