I applied for Virendra Swaroop Institute of Computer Studies Kanpur but due to less placements in that college, I didn't attend it.I got 123 rank in UPSEE and I got Fee Waiver seat in the college.The admission criteria was atleast 60% in bachelors and Maths as a subject in intermediate.The counselling was held online and the college was alloted online.The admission process was smooth and the required documents were mentioned beforehand in the college's website.

I have chosen this course because Information Technology is having vast opportunities alongwith good learning opportunities. The faculty student ration is simply 1:20.Most of the faculties are having their masters degerees in specific domains , and some are even PhD holders and the teaching methodology that they use is by taking an example of each topic to explain the concept to the students.The term examinations were delayed due to corona but when they were conducted they were easy to medium level to pass.

EPAM - Assistant Software Engineer(3.6 lpa) TCS - Software Engineer(3 lpa) Wipro - Software Engineer(3 lpa) The internships are of 6 months and the stipend provided ranges from 15 thousands per month to 25 thousands per month depending on the company. However , there is a bond of 3 years that is made filled by the candidates in the hiring process of TCS before joining.

Students become eligible for placements from last year of their programme ,i.e., 3rd year for BTech and 1st year for MCA. EPAM, TCS, WIPRO, and other service-based companies come in this college and the average placement is 4lpa and the highest package is 10lpa. 40 percent of the students get placed in the companies. I'm going to plan for a good software enginnering positions after getting the degree.

The tution fees is 25,000 INR yearly, and the hostel fees is 10,000 INR yearly and the mess fees is approximately 16,000 INR per semester. The UP government scholarship is available here and you can get a fee waiver seat if you're in the top 3 of the batch during counselling. The jobs we get on campus are basically internship opportunities of service based companies.

Anubhuti is the cultural fest that is organized by the college annually in the month of February. The academic books are available in the library of all the braches and also some popular magazines like Digit , Economic Times, e.t.c. The amenities in classrooms includes 4 ceiling fans , well furnished table and chairs for students and a greenboard and proper ventilation facilities for fresh air supply. There is a playground inside the campus where students play cricket and football oftenly. There are some clubs inside the college like Literary Council for poets , writers, public speakers , Programmnig Club for coding enthusiasts and also a dance club for dance lovers who love to explore moves.

A wooden bed is given for each student and a room consists of 4 such beds. The meal quality in the mess is very great and there is paneer available on alternate days and good quality pulse every day. The registration of hostels is done during the time of admission and the hostels are quite affordable with the hostel fees of 10,000 INR yearly.
