I have got the admission for this college through Tamilnadu government Engineering Counselling. I have cleared my 12th examination with 91% belongs to 2018-2019 batch and secured 181 cutoff marks . I have applied TNEA counseling and According to my marks and my preference, I got admission at SKCET. I was prefered Bachelor of Engineering at Computer Science Department. But my mark is not enough to get that course. The competition for BE CSE is very high in SKCET. So I opted for BTech Information Technology, which is side branch of CSE. If you want to study in this college, You must have higher cutoff marks, because the competition for this college is heavy. At least you have 190+ marks in Engineering cutoff.

My aim was to become a software engineer. So I choose BTech Information Technology. Our college faculties are well experienced and talented . They tought clearly and nicely. During our batch the world suffered from Corona, during that pandemic time, our college conduct online classes and our teachers took on-line classes very much nicely. Our class strength was average number of 63 students. The Student teacher ratio is 20:1 Coming to exams, For each semester , they conduct 3 Internal Exams called CIA. They conduct each CIA for 50 marks . And later they convert this 50 marks to 100.Internal exams are quite tough. Apart from internal exams, we have practical lab classes depending on the subject. Labs are well facilated. If you broke or repair any instruments, they will fine you and you have to pay money. So during lab classes always be alert while handling instruments. End semester exams are very tough but if you study well, you will score good marks.

The big companies like Amazon, Accenture, Zoho, Odessa, Fourkites, Freshworks. They give internships and stipends is depend on your performance. They give average stipend arroud 30k During last year we have to do projects.

Starting from the 3rd year 6th semester, companies came for recruitments. The best part of this college is placement. The companies visiting our college provide higher package starting from 3.5 to 24 lakhs per annum. Our ex-senior got placed in Amazon company for 24lakhs per annum. So many companies will come and give placement. The college also gives placement training, for that you have to pay additional fees of around 20k. If you study well, you will land in a good package company. Nearly 70% percent students got placements.

I got admission through the government qouta, so I didn't pay any donation fees. But if you want admission through management quota, you have to pay around 2 to 5 lakhs donation only. For government quota students, they have to pay College fees only. The college fee was 1,30,000 per year. Excluding Semester fees. For each semester, you have to pay around 5000.The semester exam fees vary from one semester to another. Talking about scholarships, the college management didn't provide any scholarships. But if you are a government qouta student, the government will give scholarship around 8000 per year . For first graduate students, government gives around 20k scholarship per year. But the college management didn't give any scholarships.

They conduct many events for first-year students. For seniors, not many events are conducted. Our college has a very large library and it is one of the largest libraries in Coimbatore. It has so many books, magazines, newspapers, technical books, nontechnical books also. We can gain so much of knowledge from that library. It also has nearly 100+ Computers. They provide free wifi in the library. We can use the internet and computer in the library. The classrooms are well constructed. The campus was very environment friendly and very clean. Our college won the best Eco-friendly campus of India. In this college, there are many clubs like fine arts, sports club, etc. And I'm the leader of the Innovative club in my college.

I have stayed one year in the hostel. Only vegetarian foods are provided. No nonveg foods. The quality of food is good but not so much taste. The hostel fee was 88000 per year. You have to pay a single payment during admission to the hostel. The hostel rules are very strict. Inside the hostel, there is a playground, during weekends we used to play cricket there. A gym facility is also available inside the campus. The fee is around 200 per month.
