Review from a pre final year student- [GMIT], Davanagere

I was not applied to any colleges because, I was confirmed to join this college before the KCET, mine was management quota, minimum marks was 50 percent, I selected this college because of the infrastructure and out of my home town and placement was helpful.

I was pretty sure to choose this course because of the large open space for electronics and the present industry is purely based on the semiconductors, faculties are nice and well educated to train the students, exams are not too easy nor though the exams are moderate.

Various companies arrive for the placement, some companies provide internships with a stipend for performing students, by the end of the 5th sem stipend internship starts, well-performed students get the opportunity for the internship.

Placement offers is good, it varies for different branches students are eligible for placement when they enter into the prefinal year, in 2021 output placed students us up to 90 percent average package is 3.5 to 5 LPA.

Fees for the students from KCET is 65000+33000, for management quota 135000 for ECE, fees structure varies for other branches, during the covid time they also decreased the fees up to 20000, scholarship like ssp earlier epass will be sanctioned, studying in the prefinal year.

The name of the annual fest is Mallika, conducting in even sem also conduct ethnic fest, tech fest in odd sem, the college has a good library which includes e-library now they constructed a new central Library a separate building, classrooms consists a screen and projector.

Hostel facility is good but not excellent, so the company called stanza living is running the hostel from the year 2020, meal is good providing variety, rating for taste is 3/5, hostel consists of sharing 2 bed and 3bed with attached bathrooms.
