Focus on your Goals and Give time.

I targeted SFIT itself. Since BE mechanical started the same year i.e. 2018. Sfit was the least near to my house ( I live in Vasai). I didn't avail any quota. My name came in the first list itself. The admission process was as prescribed by Mumbai university.

I wanted mechanical engineering because I had an interest in vintages. The mechanical branch is called the mother as they say. We learn topics relevant to mechanical subjects and also we are exposed to computers we were taught DBMS-SQL, C-Programming also we had a compulsory course on Python called PYcode. Teachers in SFIT are awesome and they are always very punctual. Topics completion, extra information, and interaction are always at peek here. Besides academics, we got many cultural and technical committees where one can be a member and participate fully.

College gave us internships also we can apply externally. I had done 2 internships externally. There are mini-projects in every sem starting from sem3. So one gets exposure to real-world problems and finds solutions. There are competitions named Pragati and prayaas. (technical and business model).

One is eligible from sem 7 for applying for the companies. The highest package I guess was 19 LPA 2020-2021. but on avg you get 4lpa. Many get placed, you just need to be prepared and appear for every company.

Initially, fees were as prescribed but when the pandemic hit the world and most of the institutes were closed (ours too) the fee was still the same for the 2 years. This was the only regret I had and every student out there of my batch.

We have 2 fests - i) IRIS- Cultural fest (it happens every year in January ii) MOSAIC - Technical fest (around August-September) College has a huge library. one can explore it (you'll get mesmerized by its collection), although there are fines when not returned on time but it's affordable. [make sure to return them or else the amount piles up once I had paid 150. You have a projector, a blackboard, desks, and a stage. You get split ACs of Onida. You will get only a month to experience it, rest of the year maybe its functional. There are various committees for improving student social skills, technical skills, and soft skills. To name some - MESA, EESA, ITSA, CSI, RAW, E-cell. et Cetra.
