Remarks

Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences is a Deemed University under UGC 1956.It is one of best Christian Institution in India .Its ranks 101-150 according to Nirf ranking .It has a beautiful climate and a pleasant atmosphere because it is situated in foothills of siruvani .It provides great placement offers .In 2020 Microsoft Corperation joined hands with Karunya (2020).It has well equipped labs and great infrastructure.

Course Curriculum Overview

Btech Biotechnology is a vast cource in which you are provided with free elective subjects in which you can select according to your interest. 84 students are present in our 2 nd year batch which are 60:40 girls:boys. Most of the faculty members are Ph D holders. Teaching is quite good and it has good seminar halls too. They conduct 3 internal exams and if we miss any one of these internals they may conduct a 4th internal exam. And a Semester exam is conducted every 6 months. It is quite easy to pass the exams.

Placement Experience

Placement is good in Karunya because Karunya Institute of Technology and Sciences is known for great in campus placement .Higest package provided by Byjus 1500000. 40%of the students get placed every year. My plan is to do masters in the US .

Fee Structure And Facilities

We are asked to pay our Semester fees every 6 months of 89250.You will get a scholarship of 120000 if you score 95%in 12 th public exams.And a scholarship of 60000 for 80%and above, 40000 for 60% and above (this is for minority students only ).You have to maintain with 95%attendance and the given CGPA to renew your scholarship.If we fail to keep atleast one of these oue scholarship is withdrawn.

Campus Life

Life at campus is quite intersting and we have to walk more in campus to reach our classes.Tech fest is conducted once evey year.It has a great library with 3 floors and has a variety of book collection. Karunya has a great football and Kabbadi teams. Karunya has provided NCC and NSS to students who are interested.

Hostel Facilities

It has a quite good hostels with homely atmosphere and four bed rooms and the food is good in the hostel mess and a restaurant is also provided in the hostel.There are separate hostel for 1 st year, 2,3 and 4 year

Placement Experience:

Final year students are eligible for campus interview. No companies were visited due to corona. Average package is 2 to 3 lakhs per annum. 20 to 30% students get placement. Definitely went to the job for improving my knowledge.

Beyond the classes: My College Experience

Placement Experience:

Our college is well known for its placements. Almost many MNC companies like Amazon,TCS, visit our college and recruit the top performing students.Students are instructed to do 30 days of internship in remote,hybrid or industrial online before their 6th semester.During the 7th semester, students become eligible to attend the placements. The highes package offered previous year was 21 lakhs per annum and the average package is around 5 lakh per annum. Here students receive 3 options 1. Placement 2. Masters 3. Government Exams . As far off noe, 98%percentage of students who opt for placements get placed. I want to get placed after finishing my degree.
