Entrance Preview

UPTU SEE-2007, Score was around 6000. It was general score and OBC was different and it was around 1500.

Internships Opportunities

I do not know about the internship provided by college or not. I did my internship from outside. There might be ti-up with some institute which was charging a lot money.

Placement Experience

Placements was average but only for IT branch companies came at my time. and that were also very limited. Infosys and Accenture came what i remember. All branch were allowed to sit in these companies. Around 200 were placed in infosys and around 100 were in accenture. Those not able to get placed in these two, under gone lots of trouble to get a job.

College Events

Early one fest was celebrated. It held on college level. Some small fest each branch celebrated but it was not regular some semester it was held in some not. In whole four years i saw only one big fest in which some external artiest were invited.

Fees and Financial Aid

No Loan facility by college. Scholarship was also not provided by college. UPTU university provided scholarship to students who were not able to afford college fee based on their family income less then Rs 100,000. In this students applied through college only and they charged student money to avail this scholarship.

Alumni/Alumna

No alumni network present in the college. Even i was not contacted by any one for any alumni event. Security Money that was deposited as reimbursable, not provided back to students. Whenever we go and ask for it, they say different reasons each time.

Exam Structure

It was a semester wise pattern. It was UPTU pattern as college affiliated under it. Every semester consist of 3 theory internal exams, 1 external practical exam and 1 theory external exam. Internal exams were taken by college itself and external exam was centralised and executed by UPTU.

Faculty

Only few faculties were good. most of are new or freshers. Some were B.Tech only, even not pursuing M.Tech. Only one or two were PhD completed. Mathematics faculty were good. Practical labs were good in 1st year, like chemistry and physics labs.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is well structured and keep up with the evolving trends of industry. It balance Theoretical and knowledge and practical application, helping students build a strong foundation in core subjects like programming mathematics and engineering fundamentals. The curriculum Includ Laboratory session Projects and tutorials that enhance understanding beyond the textbooks It also allows students to choose elective in later semester which adds flexibility and depth to learn. In terms of revevance, most subjects are designed to align with current industry requirements especially in field like computer science and electronics the inclusion of emerging technologies such as ai data science and web development makes it quite comprehensive. However a few areas could be improved such as integrating more industry based project and updating some older Syllabus to match modern tools and frameworks. Overall the curriculum is relevant ,comprehensive and career-oriented providing a solid base for both higher studies and professional development.

My Opinion about GL BAJAJ INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY AND MANAGEMENT

Placement Experience:

The student are available for placement from the starting of the 4th year of 7th semester. There's are lot of decent companies that come to our college like TCS, INFOSYS, MICROSOFT, CAPGEMINI etc The highest placement of my college is about 58 lpa and the average placement of my college is about 7.5lpa The 90 percentage of the students who participated in the placement are being placed rest are gone for their higher studies. My planned after getting my degree is to grab a decent package from the college and started my career.

Reality of Galgotias University

Placement Experience:

The students are eligible for placements from the 6th semester. Recently Infosys visited our college, however the average and highest package was not yet declared but we have heard rumours that the highest package is somewhat around 30 LPA. The percentage of students getting placement is around 65%. My plans after getting this degree is applying for external placements as well.

Unfiltered review and reality of My College

Course Curriculum Overview:

This criteria for choosing the college was because of placements. The curriculum Is outdated and not as per the industry requirements. In 1st year we are taught only one language and which is of no use.... That is C. But in other universities, students are taught languages like java, C++, python in their 1st year. Teachers are good. I have no issues with them but I have issues with its curriculum. Exam are taken so much which are according to me good as they prepare as for university exams but as I consider placement point of view so students do not have enough time to prepare for their placements, learning new skills as we are supposed to study for exams otherwise we will have to attend extra exams and classes and will lose internal marks. So having many exams have both benefits and drawbacks.

Galgotias College: A college that underwhelms you in every way but never allows you to complaint.

I also applied to its affiliated college galgotias university because I heard about horrors of aktu. But didn't opt for it because the crowd on gu is actually considered really bad. GCET gives admission through UPTAC counselling through aktu. You have to appear for JEE and secure a rank of at least 2 Lakhs if you're from UP and want top CS branches....Read More

Insights of GCET

At the time of counselling, GCET is my 3rd preference as I have properly researched about it and matches with my eligibilty criteria as well. I have also applied for JIIT Noida, but couldn't able to get CSE branch. However, In greater noida, comparing to other private colleges, GCET is much better option because of its location, fee structure, campus size. Admission process happened through AKTU counselling, also 15% seats researved for direct admission as well.
