Remarks
Admission is done by referring to the marks one gets in his/her higher secondary examinations. The minimum marks required for getting admission into the honors program are 55% for the general category and 45% for the reserved category.
Course Curriculum Overview
My college is best known for its microbiology background so I preferred this college for pursuing my honors degree. The college has a union group anyone can easily get connected to them for their problems. The faculty is good, the teaching staff is good but can be improved. Two internals and one semester in between 6 months, easy to moderate not very hard to pass.
Internships Opportunities
There are some companies(no specific company) that offer projects to the student of the final year in their last semester. Without depending on college one have to try his/her best for the internship program, also there are few companies/industries which give online training to students.
Placement Experience
After completing a bachelor's degree one have to look for a master's degree in a different college for few courses as they offer only a bachelor's program, and few courses have a master's program within this college. There is less chance of getting placement through college. One can get placed only in his/her final years if applicable.
Fees and Financial Aid
Fees are high for my course as compared to other honors programs as it includes lab facilities and all. The overall fee structure is like the first semester is around 15000 INR and the second sem is around 600 INR. Through college, one gets very few placement opportunities. One has to try his/her best to get jobs outside the college. Overall placement is not so good.
Campus Life
The annual function is held every year in the month of December/January (may vary). The library is the best place where all books are easily available and there's no issue regarding the library. Well known for sports ,and other co-curricular activities, have separate department for sports /gym/ swimming/dance /photography/music, etc. Student Union is there to help out students. One can refer to them for their problems.
