KCET-2012, I Scored 10717 rank. I opt this college because it had a reputed name and it is in my city. I was interested in mechanical engineering so I joined this course.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

There was a systematic approach. Everything was well planned and executed. The electives were given according to our choice unlike many other colleges. The electives were provided according to our likes and interest. Overall course curriculum was good.

Internships Opportunities

Internships are not provided from the college. But I got internship in a Paper factory without any stipend.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement and job opportunities for mechanical students are very poor. But for computer science and Information Technology branches placements were good. The companies like Tata Consultancy Services, Dell, Eviva etc came to campus, Tata Consultancy Services provides 3.33 lakh per annum, Dell - 6lakh per annum , etc.

College Events

4

There were events like Tech zone which was a national level technical symposium. The students of various colleges participated. And our college day called as JANVEY there also so many competitions were there but this was a intra college competitions. And celebrated Engineer’s day every year and many more.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure was very feasible. I had got the seat in Supernumerary Quota. So that had to pay 31000 at first year. Then i had to pay only 3000-4000 per year only. And for others it was 36000 per year and first year it was around 70000. And scholarships were provided for meritorious students.

Fees and Financial Aid

Scholarships are provided by the college for students who scores 80-85% gets rs 1000/- that i had got once. And for 85-90% they get 10000 and for students above 90% gets 25k.

Admission

After getting the rank there was a document verification phase where I verified all the documents and got a login address and password. Then applied for the course i wanted. After I got the seat allotted then paid the fee and joined the college by submitting all the documents in the college.

Faculty

4.5

The faculty of the college is well experienced. the average experience of the faculty is about 23 years (mechanical faculty). They are very helping and focused. they helped us in every aspect. The faculty helped us in project by involving in it and giving important ideas.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our college (NHCE) is affiliated to VTU but it's autonomous college. I like mechanical engineering and my father is also a mechanical engineer which inspired me to mechanical engineering. It is a bit outdated, expect more applications of the concepts. As I said we have exams every month, the frequency is good and the difficulty of exams I mid to easy range.

Course Curriculum Overview:

There course subjects included in each semester is pretty much related to the branch of the student, each course subject has an important role in making the student ready for jobs. Some of the core subjects are necessary for real world applications and in the interviews as well during palcements ,questions have been asked from various subjects. Sometimes the speed of covering the syllabus is fast which makes us mug up the topics which is not beneficial for us because this method doesn't hold any value when it comes to applying it in real life.
