Likes
- The People here are good and cooperative, the faculty is also supportive, the strictness for attendance is there but it is manageable and if the student scores good marks then there not much of a problem to anyone.
- The clubs and other activities are also there which happens time to time.
- The classrooms are clean and maintained and library is also there which has somewhat all the books required for the academics in this college
Dislikes
- There's no good stationary in this college, the timing of the library is also from 10 to evening 7.
- The mess in college doesn't provide consistent good quality of food
- The sports activities are not much supported, we can only access the sports equipments and everything till 6 in the evening and also the fields are not so well.
Course Curriculum Overview
There course subjects included in each semester is pretty much related to the branch of the student, each course subject has an important role in making the student ready for jobs. Some of the core subjects are necessary for real world applications and in the interviews as well during palcements ,questions have been asked from various subjects. Sometimes the speed of covering the syllabus is fast which makes us mug up the topics which is not beneficial for us because this method doesn't hold any value when it comes to applying it in real life.
Fees and Financial Aid
My tution fees is 229776, and after adding the curricular activities and special fees my fees is 250346. This fees is for the students who joins college through ComedK. Every year the fees increases for the new batch of students who joins and this year the first year students had to pay 30,000 more. The fees i mentioned is for second year and the fees i paid in first year was 2,70,000.
Campus Life
The campus life in this college is somewhat nice. The students are friendly and the environment is good. The coding culture here is not so good because most of the people are not from coding background and they're introduced with coding after joining this college. Other activities like sports and music and events do take place time to time.
Hostel Facilities
The room in junior hostel which is for first year students only is nice, space is decent and electricity is provided throughout, wifi facilities are not so good. Water supply and everything is good. There is no AC room but it is not required because of the weather here which is decent throughout the year except it rains a lot here from June till September. There are rooms with attached bathroom which costs 72,000 and rooms without attached bathroom and public bathroom which costs 62,000. The mess food is very average because they provide good food half week and other times they just give average quality of food .
Admission
The admission process for this college is through Comedk for the students residing outside Karnataka as well as Locals or KCET for the students residing in Karnataka and management quota. I couldn't qualify in JEE mains for any NITs so i opted for Comedk. I TOOK ADMISSION IN THIS COLLEGE BY MISTAKE. During the counseling of Comedk which consists of 3 rounds i wanted to select KLE Technological University which is in Hubballi which is the main university which comes under top 15 colleges in Karnataka and in the list of colleges in counseling this college KLE Technological University Dr. Ms Sheshgiri had kept it's name as KLE TECHNOLOGICAL UNIVERSITY HUBBALLI whereas the college i wanted to join which is located in Hubballi, Karnataka had kept it's name only as KLE Technological University and so i got confused with this college being the main one because i knew that the real college is situated in Hubballi and " Hubballi" was written infront of the name of this college.
Faculty
In one semester there are 3 exams which tak place. One is the end semester which happens at the end of the sem and which is for 50 marks and then during the semester there are two exams Internal Assessment 1 (ISA1) for 40 marks( converted into 20) and Internal Assessment 2. Then 10 marks is for post test or assignments. The Faculty to student ratio is 1:20 which means 20 students will have a mentor to whom they can go to for any inconveniences in studies or anything then each course subject whoever is teaching allows every student to contact them for any doubts during their free hours and they are supportive.
Night Life
There's no cafe in our college but there is one canteen and a mini cafe kind of store. Every food is available here. The canteen stays open till 5-6 which is during the class hours and the sports activities takes place till 6-7. There's one restaurant near the college and two cafe . Hostel is situated inside the college campus. Timing for hostel is 6am to 10pm. Warden stays in the hostel, timing for girl's hostel is 6am to 8:30 pm. If anyone has to go to their family's house then they can surely contact warden and they allow. A well maintained Security is there for the girl's hostel and the warden personally takes attendance of all the girls in hostel everyday.
