IIT-JEE Rank 4006. AIEEE - I don't remember my rank. BITSAT - I don't remember the score but I was getting the EEE branch. VIT, Manipal Institute of Technology. COMEDK - Top 100 rank. I chose IIT Indore because IIT Bombay was mentoring IIT Indore in its initial stages and hence I knew that the foundations of the college must be solid in terms of quality of education.

The course curriculum is pretty extensive and covers all domains that a software engineer should have knowledge of. Most of the courses are project based or lab based and hence the student gains good practical knowledge in each and every subject that he/she studies. The questions asked in examinations are also really good and practical knowledge or implementation based.

Yes my college offers Internship. The general stipend varies but the overall experience is a great one because every student is able to publish at least one research paper during the internship.

Placement opportunities are ample. All the big companies come for placement. Startups also come a lot. Some of the companies that came were - Microsoft, Amazon and D E Shaw. Microsoft IDC offered around 15 lakhs, Microsoft IT offered around 11 lakhs, Amazon and D E Shaw both offered around 20 lakhs.

Fluxus is the major techno-cultural festival that is held in the college. It is the central India's largest fest and has a good participation. There are events for singing, dancing and programming competitions that happen annually. There are intra-college sports events in every sport as well.

There are good scholarships offered by the college. It is not that hard to get the scholarship if you are in the reserved category and can prove that your financial situation is weak. Also, you have to be a good student to get these scholarships.

The alumni network and senior students are definitely helpful. They give proper advice and always ensure that it is easier for the younger generation. I got a lot of help in my studies from my seniors. Seniors in different companies are always eager to help students in getting a job at their respective companies.

It is definitely not chilled out. The labs are frequent and there is one deliverable in each lab every week. There are two main exams - one during the middle of the semester and one at the end of the semester. Apart from the exams there are quizzes in each subject. The frequency of the quizzes depends on the course.

The application process was pretty straight forward and described properly on its website. The forms were released sometime in November. I applied online. The whole application process was done online. Then I got my admit card and the exam was conducted in April. Once the results were declared there were two/three rounds of counselling that happened in which I was allotted a college based on the preference that I filled.

The faculty is really enthusiastic about imparting education. They are ready to help students and give out proper study material. They always devise good ways to impart education. They let students learn the most by making them read books related to the subject they are teaching.
