Entrance Preview
There is no entrance exam as such . The admission is taken on the basis of the intermediate board marks. The cut off for every branch varies where the minimum cut off is 75%. I scored 78%. I opted this college because thus is the best college for girls providing education with almost facilities. And the stream that i wanted to study was available only in this college.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course which I selected was b.com professionals. The curriculum of the course includes accountancy in depth which is relatively equal to that of other professional courses like CA, CMA, ICWA ,CS etc. Apart from the subjects we have inter disciplinary electives which also help in improving our knowledge like tourism quantitative aptitude which do not form a part of the curriculum.
Internships Opportunities
Our college provides internship as well as placements. The internship is provided for 4-5 months with the highest being 13000 plus incentives like cab. The cab comes to college and picks up the student after the college hours and drops back at their places. These internships also help us gain practical knowledge.
Placement Experience
The top companies like Amazon DE SHAW, KPMG, DELLOITE,etc come for placements. The package that the companies offer various between 3.6l to 7.8 pa. Before the placement takes place. The companies give us a brief explanation about their work environment and work culture, package and also further opportunities that are provided either by a ppt presentation or through an AV.
College Events
Our college is also famous for the tests that are conducted. these fests not only provide entertainment but also bring the hidden talents of the students. . Not only students of Francis but students from different colleges coke to participate in the fests.
Fee Structure And Facilities
the fees has to be paid. On a semester basis ranging from 30000 to 45000 per semester which is feasible for maximum number of students.for those who cannot afford .there are educational loans provided by the banks. There is a separate fees for the 2 kinds of certificate courses in which one is related to sports and the other related to any other skills as mentioned above and the inter disciplinary electives.
Fees and Financial Aid
There are also scholarships provided for those students who score district level ranks.For them, the college provides scholarships and pays the fees for the certificate courses the fees is not inclusive of the certificate courses fees. One of my friend scored a district rank with 98% in her intermediate.
Admission
I got admission in this institution on the basis of intermediate board marks. Firstly, we need to buy a prospectus along with the admission form. We need to fill in the admission form with required details and submit the admission form only on the date that we are asked to submit. Different dates are allocated for different streams and branches.
Faculty
The faculty of the college are highly qualified and experienced. The way they teach cannot be matched as they explain every detail of the subject with lot of live examples. Every lecturer has a different style of teaching which makes a mark. The faculty here make the subject even more interesting by making the class an interactive session .
