B.Tech life at NIT jamshedpur

Admission is completely based on jee rank. Josaa conducts counseling and you have to submit your admit card , scorecard, passing certificate, aadhar cart etc., for verification. You can select multiple options while choosing branch and college and based on your preferences you will get your college.

I chose this course because placement is good and due to various opportunities after b.tech. Every faculty has phd degree from iit /nit. The teaching method is very good, you will never get bored,they explain very well. Term exams are conducted on time. If you are regular and attentive during lectures then you will definitely pass in the exams.

Many companies visit our campus for internships and give good stipends like grow gave a 50k stipend to my seniors. Some students also got a pre-placement offer. Projects are based on vlsi designing, iot etc.

From 7th sem students are eligible for placement. Many companies like Amazon, Tata,Tcs , Deloitte,Infosys , Wipro, Oracle, Flipkart, Microsoft visit our campus. Almost 90% of students get placed from here every year. Total 800+ offers were made. Total 150+ recruiters visited our campus. The highest salary package offered was 37.5 lpa And average salary package offered was 9.38 lpa.

For UG programme fee per semester for gen /obc is 104000 and for SC/ST/PH is 41500 For EWS Family income less than 1lpa shall get full remission of the tuition fee And family income between 1lpa to 5 lpa shall get remission of 2/3 rd of the tuition fee On submission of income certificate issued by the competent authority

Ojaas is the annual techno-management fest of nit Jamshedpur. It is among the top-notch techfest in the country. Culfest is the annual cultural festival of the college. The library subscribes to a sizeable number of technical, scientific, and general periodicals journals and newspapers for the students and faculty members of the institute. The library system is ready to shift from a manual to an automated system. Sankalp a pledge to change is an NGO operating in tribal areas/village surrounding NIT JAMSHEDPUR. The NGO is currently run and completely managed by the alumni and students of the institute . There is an athletic ground ,a cricket ground in the campus.The college also organizes The Annual Sports Meet and East Zone Inter NIT Cricket Tournament . There are different clubs and societies in the college, you can join according to your interest.
