Remarks
I am currently in the 2nd year of my BBA degree at ASMOC NMIMS University, Mumbai. I applied to 3 universities last year ASMSOC NMIMS, Symbiosis and Christ for a BBA degree. I got selected in NMIMS which was my first preference. My NPAT rank was 1112, and we were required to pay the fees in 10 to 15 days. There was no interview around here like most of the other universities. The fees charged was Rs 302000 which is different for every year and there was no consideration given to the COVID-19 and we were charged such an exorbitant amount despite everything being conducted online. The faculty is excellent. The subjects, course outlines and everything are very good compared to other colleges. There are also a lot of clubs one can join.
Course Curriculum Overview
I chose this course because business and management is something that has been fascinating me ever since I was in school. After my research, I found out that BBA holds the highest employment rate as compared to other Bachelor's degrees. The faculty is excellent and is very well educated. The teaching method is mainly all practical. The term exams were held online. It was difficult to pass as it was very tough to copy answers from anywhere. We were live on zoom with our cameras on while writing the answers.
Internships Opportunities
Internship opportunities are mainly provided during or post the 2nd year. These opportunities are provided by the college also through various clubs but the students are free to look for internships on their own.
Placement Experience
According to my research, after graduation, the highest package can go up to 15-16 lacs per annum. The student is eligible for placements from the 5th semester. A number of top companies visit the campus offering placements. Also, various internship opportunities are provided by the clubs for its members.
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
The college has been very insensitive towards the whole COVID-19 crisis. We are being made to pay such an exorbitant amount with no relief, no concession. A lot of students' families have been affected due to this pandemic, yet there was no consideration to this from the University.
Campus Life
All the annual fests of different clubs were conducted in the month of February and March last year. It was all online and the campus was only open for the core members and not the participants. It wasn't the best experience but it was all that could have been done given the COVID-19 situation. The books of certain subjects are been provided to us in the form of PDFs and the E-Library is open to us on the student portal which is very helpful as it has a number of useful books and even past years' exam question papers. There are a number of clubs and the students can apply to as many as possible.
