Remarks
The college is not good, no personality development, no extracurricular resources, etc. However, the academics was excellent. The college gives a vintage look, considering the walls with stone arrangement gives the place a nice antique look. However the overall experience is bad. No fun, no curriculum activities with potential, etc.
Entrance Preview
University CET. I was looking for a college in Maharashtra, and bmcc is the best college for BBM(IB) in India; so I applied. There was no interview but counselling. BBM(IB) has a lot of future opportunities.
Course Curriculum Overview
The course was good enough for me to make my mark in the commerce sector. Practical learning was mill. No research initiative.
Internships Opportunities
The college provides internship to 0.8% of the students of the top layer students. And I was one of them. I did 6 month internship in Goldman Sachs Bangalore as assistant investment banker. The average stipend was 3,00,000 rupees p.a.
Placement Experience
The placement situation is not that of a concern for a commerce bachelor. The average package is around 2,40,000 p.a. so yeah, you guessed right; most students attempt CAT, and other B-school exams in order to get good post graduate colleges for their diploma or degrees. 85% students got placed this year. College has a very good placement cell a lot of companies do come to college for hiring students like HDFC and Reliance Ltd.
College Events
My college is not so big on fest. However there are 2 regular tests yearly. These fests are small and have a reserved number of participants with few or almost no faculty members involved in the organisation. In short I wouldn't say that fests are much of an attraction to students in BMCC.
Fee Structure And Facilities
It was affordable enough for a lower middle class family borne student 52,000 rupees p.a. And the website says that it requires minimum 50 words to move on to next section; so I'm gonna not gonna write anything creative or nonfiction important information. That was above.
Fees and Financial Aid
The college provides scholarship to Maharashtrian students if they are top in class and belongs to the non-creamy layer of the community. And the limit was one child per course. No loans provided by the college.
Campus Life
There were no attractive extracurricular activities in the college. I was seeking to participate in boxing club, but shockingly the college did not have any gear, equipment, training place, or training practice at all, and no specialized coach.
Hostel Facilities
The hostel were so untidy and gross that I opted out for a flat in the locality. Each room had 2-3 student sharing the commodities. The basic fee is 28,000 per semester. The food was rubbish.
Alumni/Alumna
College did not provide any resources or support for alumni interaction but worked opposed it behind the curtain of discipline. On the other hand the students were not that bright, being the science stream student in school I always felt superior to others (even the topper) in terms of common knowledge. So my formal friend circle was large but no deep or even good friends I had.
Faculty
Only 30% of the faculty is I would say crème. The rest is not interactive or rather creative in teaching. However, the course was taught up to the standard. I think the teachers could have been more lively and excited when it came to teaching but it was just a work routine for them.
