Course Curriculum Overview

4

The bsc finance course structure is at par with industry standards, there are many opportunities to work on real world projects, research papers, internships, etc. Nmims follows the concept of internal continuous assessment where students are continuously tested in the form of written tests, quizs, projects, research papers, etc.

Internships Opportunities

3.5

Many reputed companies come to nmims for internship opportunities. I cannot disclose the nanes and stipend but rest assured talent is deeply valued and generously rewarded at NMIMS Mumbai. The placement cell is responsible for looking after internships and PPOs. NMIMS has a very active and responsible placement cell.

Placement Experience

4

Nmims has a record of its stellar placements, the average placement for bsc finance is around 10-12 lpa. The placement season begins from your 5th semester itself. Mostly bsc finance students pursue a career in investment banking, private equity, equity research, consulting, etc. Many big giants come to nmims to recruit our students. Also, many students also decide to pursue higher education from reputed universities both in india and abroad.

Fees and Financial Aid

2023-24 paid Rs. 375000, 2024-25 paid Rs. 369000, 2025-26 yet to be paid. The above fees in inclusive of all the charges for tuition, library, lab fees, security, resources, etc. There is no discrimination caste wise for fees payment everyone has to pay the same amount. Unfortunately, no scholarship or financial aid is provided by Nmims.

Campus Life

4

There are many college clubs at nmims, most of them are student run. The college gives autonomy to clubs to make certain decisions. This helps students learn about real life challenges. Unfortunately, there are no sports facilities inside the campus. Library is well equipped with all the necessary resources that facilitate learning.

Admission

You have to write an entrance test- Npat for taking admission in bsc finance. I personally chose this course because I was deeply passionate about finance and wanted to pursue a career in it. I am also pursuing CFA so therefore bsc finance was the best option for me.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is 1:50. The faculties are very knowledgeable and are willing to help you beyond classrooms. You can work alongside faculties to publish research papers, articles, etc. Bsc finance course is designed to help to set base for CFA level 1 exam. Any student passionate about finance would be a good fit.

Other Applied Colleges

IIM Rohtak Indian Institute of Management | Bachelor of Business Administration + Bachelor of Laws [BBALLB]

I was passionate about pursuing a career in the field of finance and not law

Course Curriculum Overview:

Strong academic legacy with expereinced faculties and balanced content- preparing you for future studies and entrance exams and olympiads. very much strict, i would say not needed. somehwere you may experience baised behaviour; but when you are focused on gaining knowledge then these things dont matter as its only a matter of three years. Relevance of course is there but for applying for further studies not for that much for job prospects, if you want atleast a decent salary job.

Placement Experience:

The Placement Cell is responsible for the placement process. It is not very streamlined. Getting a job is considered tough, usually, the student has to search for it themselves. The average package offered is about 4 Lakhs which is okayish. Usually, students go for masters in Europe which is one of the best options. About 40 people apply for placements out of 180 students and out of that about 20-30 get placed.
