Remarks
I had applied to DU, Christ Bangalore, NIIT, NMIMS Mumbai, the reason for not attending is that I came to a conclusion that NMIMS was overall better for the course I'm applying as it is a prestigious B-School. The admission process for my course consisted of an entrance exam, previous academic performance and some colleges had GD/PI as their final stage too. Minimum makes varied from college to college, but the minimum age was pretty similar, ranging between 16-17 years. The admission process at NMIMS was pretty tough as the exam itself is one of the hardest.
Course Curriculum Overview
I am from a Commerce background and I had a keen interest in understanding business and managerial operations and that's what I want to pursue as my career, hance BBA was the best course for me. There are a considerable amount of faculty members and the faculty-student ratio is around 1:20. All the faculty members are highly qualified and professional, the teaching methods of some professors are very interesting and their way of designing the class flow is engaging. Term exams were held after each semester, along with internal assessments going throughout. Passing the Term End exams were pretty tough as the standard of the exams were on the higher end.
Internships Opportunities
The majority of the internships are availed by searching outside the college by actually visiting the companies, and all sorts of roles are offered to depend upon the interests of the students. The tasks could be designing graphics for marketing purposes, content writing, researching the internet and making databases, etc.
Placement Experience
From the 5th semester, students are eligible for the campus placements, many big companies visit such as Google, KPMG, ICICI Bank, Deloitte, JP Morgan, etc. The highest package is at a whopping 30 lakh and the average salary stays around 12 lakh. Most of the students get placed, my plans after getting the degree is to pursue MBA.
Fees and Financial Aid
The fees hike is around 5-7 percent, if any and the overall cost to study is relatively high for a bachelor's degree, with the total tuition fee of about 9,00,000 and the total cost as an outsider of about 15,00,000. There were no scholarships for the general category students, whereas campus placements are there and many people get a decent package and a good ROI.
Campus Life
The annual fest is called Vaayu and usually, it is held in the month of December. The library is pretty huge, anything and everything is available in the library. The classrooms are considerably large, with all the amenities available including infrastructure, projectors, etc. There are very few sports activities due to the lack of playgrounds but extra-curricular activities exist in large numbers with more than 100 clubs and social groups formed by/for the students.
Other Applied Colleges
