My college life

I applied for several colleges but my dream was to study Microbiology at Midnapore College. No quota was taken by me. The admission criteria for addmission to microbiology Hons in Midnapore college is pass marks in physics chemistry and biology in HS exam. The addmission procedure is to first form fill up and it is on the First Come First Serve basis. On the addmission day, I have to carry my photo identity proof, printed copy of the form and INR 10,500 with me.

I was passionate about Microbiology from my childhood so that I choose this course. In the Microbiology department the teacher: students ratio is 1:20. The qualification of our faculties are too high, they have phd and post-doctorate from several famous institutes. Their teaching ability is too simple but easy to learn. I understand almost everything from them and they helped me in many cases. There were 3 exams taken in 6 months semister in question was average in grading but easy to pass.

In the Microbiology course the course fees are too high I think. It is 11,500 per semister is like a burden to the middle class. Economic students like me. It should be decreased according to me. I have not received any scholarship, financial assistance and job from my college campus.

The name of our annual culture function was Anandam and it used to hold on the last week of February or 1st of March. The teach fest was named Satyendranath Bose Memorial Science Festival and it was held in the 2nd or 3rd week of March. Our library is high quality and most of all types of books are stocked needed by the students. There was a digital library also here many foreign journals can be read. The classroom and department library were quite good and they offered books to poot students. A sports festival was held in our college every year in the middle of September. There was a social media group named Medinipur College friends run by students.
