Entrance Preview

JEE main 2016- score 74/360 i was referred by my relatives for admission in this college. Though i was getting CSE branch in Maharaja Agarsen Institute of technology, which is a far better college than this one, but still i was forced into this college.

Course Curriculum Overview

1.5

The course structure , however is quite good, almost following the pattern of NIT's , but is not sufficient for research. The course distribution is good, but there is not too much scope and opportunity in research.

Internships Opportunities

Yes it does offer some internships. I am unaware about the general stipend and opportunities. But i am sure that the experience would not be such enchanting and good. The stipend would most probably be too low and the opportunities may not appear to be appealing.

Placement Experience

1

Placements and job opportunities are average only. In CSE branch, almost all students get placed in different companies. Some of the companies that visit the campus are TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Deloitte etc. TCS and Infosys take students in bulk at low packages. Deloitte, however offer some good packages but it takes only about 20 students only every year.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is as follows INR 1,12,500 per semester , which is very expensive for an average student. The fees are almost double in comparison to any other college. The fee structure is not at all feasible and is very expensive. Also there are not too much scholarships for students to help students.

Fees and Financial Aid

No good scholarships are provided by the college. Scholarships are offered only to students scoring GPA above 9.5, which is very difficult for any average student. Loan facilities are also not provided. Anyone who wants a loan has to avail it by their own.

Campus Life

2.5

Campus life is good. There are many activities and clubs in the college. The gender ratio is also good. you can see many girls and boys from different parts of delhi and gurgaon. Some are also from haryana and other states.

Hostel Facilities

1

The hostel facilities are not very good. the food is bad and the fees are high. The hostel seats are limited and the rooms are generally 4 sharing. Hostel students have to get their own AC/cooler on rent and pay their bills. Most of the students do stay in PG's. The rentals are around rs. 7000 to 12,000 per month.

Exam Structure

The exam structure is good. There are two minor tests and then one major semester exams in the end. In between, there are some online tests, class tests, quizzes, etc. Also there are lab sessions every week and lab exams in the end. There are also tutorial classes every week for tests and are also meant for clearing doubts. In a semester, it seems that there are exams every month and you never get much free time from the exams.

Faculty

1.5

The faculty is experienced but not as good as expected from an private engineering college. Some of the faculty members are new and are inexperienced. The main focus of the faculties is only to complete the course in time and nothing else. We don't get to learn too much from faculties. Even some faculties have inappropriate behaviour towards some students.

Special aspects is it has coding and it is related to technology. It prepares us very good for industries and further academic pursuits. Suggested area of improvement is in c++ coding class they teach us only theory not coding. Exams happens in every 2 months.

Placement Experience:

Placements rate is obviously not 100% but we do get companies and out of 150 students only 110 actually sit in the placement cycle and out of these about 70 students do get placed in good companies. The companies that visit consist of mondelez, Adani wilmar, zomato hyper pure, haldiram, loykaa, jubilent, baker's dozen, Lt foods, etc. The highest package goes up to 15 lakhs and average package is around 6-7 lakhs per annum.

The placement cell brings in quite a few companies (both MNCs and startups) and the average package is about 5-6 lpa. The highest goes to about 13 LPA. Recruiters like Mondelez, AbinBev, ITC, and other top companies recruit during the placement cycle.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are done in the final year. In the 7th semester, students have to go for a semester-long industrial training. Some students are offered pre-placement offers, and some sit for the placement process. The highest packages have gone upto 8 LPA-10 LPA, in quality/supply chain/management related roles. More than 10-15 companies visit, and almost all of the students get placed. I personally would like to go for higher studies.
