Remarks

I applied to IMT Ghaziabad, DoMS IIT Madras, and VGSoM IIT Kharagpur. There was no sectional cut-off, whereas the minimum CAT percentile was approx 90%. It was an online admission process consisting of Virtual Interviews. No GD/PI or WAT.

Course Curriculum Overview

I wanted to pursue MBA so went for this course. Our batch has a student strength of 71 and a faculty of around 20. The faculty has a mix of old and new teachers, but overall good. We have our course distributed semester wise wherein each sem has 2 quarters. Each quarter is for 8 weeks - 7 weeks of teaching, 1-week exam.

Class Size: 71Course Fees: INR 400000 per year

Internships Opportunities

Internships are offered in the fields of analytics. Companies offer summer internships within the first 5 months of joining the program. Summer internships are offered for 2 months. Overall it's good.

Placement Experience

We have almost 100% placements. Major recruiters like McKinsey & Company, Amazon, Dell, IBM, etc. Avg CTC is 12.7 lakhs. Highest for 2021 was 22 lakhs. I plan to join a company in a strategy role. Almost all students get placed.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees at DoMS IIT Madras are very less, just 8.5 lakhs for 2 years as tuition. So great ROI. Scholarships are provided to students based on their performance. Financial assistance in the form of bank loans is easily available.

Campus Life

It is a lush green campus spread across 700 acres of land. Deer can be spotted in their natural habitat. Annual fests like Shaastra and Samanvay are conducted by the student bodies. The library has access to all types of books and journals. Classrooms are well furnished and air-conditioned. Students are part of numerous clubs and chapters on campus.

To be eligible in the course or you need to have a 3 year or four year graduation. The selection is done through cat exam being a gem candidate I would recommend being in 97.5 percentile and above. After get exam you need to apply from the item address website the release forms within a week or so after the cat results are announced the admission processes fairly decent there would be less transparency and you would not be aware of what things are going on so that is one area of improvement where they could respond to emails quicker and pick up the phones....Read More

DoMS IIT Madras is a place to nourish your knowledge, skills and soul

I applied for a couple of IITs, new and baby IIMs during and after CAT 2020. Due to the pandemic, admission processes went completely through online mode. The admission processes began by applying for the course on their website soon after the CAT 2020 results are declared. It included attachments of our mark sheets, a few important certificates, and extra-curricular. The institute released interview call letters for shortlisted candidates. This shortlisting was based on one's aggregate of 10th, 12th and undergraduate marks along with gender diversity, academic diversity, and work experience taking into consideration. I remember the DoMS IIT Madras interview was the last in the series of interviews I attended. The interview lasted for about 15-20 minutes for each of the candidates.
