Remarks
I applied to only three colleges for my post-graduation course, out of these I was willing to take admission in M.P.C college because when I visit MPC Autonomous College for 1st time I got a positive response. When I took admission in that college at that time the selection process for admission is mark based. As I secure 72% in my BSc. So I was selected under Mark based. The admission process is easy and smooth and there is no counselling.
Course Curriculum Overview
I choose this college because this college provide a specific course in chemistry that is post-graduation in industrial chemistry and it is the course which I am willing to do. The student and faculty ratio is good as this college provide 20 seats for Post graduation in industrial chemistry and the department have 4 teachers in the PG department it's really appreciating. All the teachers are very educated and humble. They always motivate us and our HOD Sir such a nice and humble person and well qualified.
Internships Opportunities
As my course is MSc in Industrial Chemistry it is purely based on industrial applications. It prepares us to get jobs in the industry and technology field. The main company which provides an internship program is CIPET. The maximum projects are based on industrial applications of chemistry in plastic and other areas. As they include two specific papers one is research paper and regular chemistry paper which is better for the students like me who want to study further for lectureship and for research (PhD). As it is Corona time the internship is on online mood. We attend class on online mood and the practical has occurred at that company.
Placement Experience
First of all, I am very glad about doing this course. After my graduation, I want to do that type of course which provides me with a variety of ways and not a specific way and this is the reason why I choose this college. After the completion of this course, we will appear or become eligible for the campus placement. The maximum placement is made on CIPET, BALASORE and CIPET, Bhubaneswar. My plan is to do PhD course in Chemistry.
Fees and Financial Aid
The annual course fee is 23000 though it's a two-year course, in total 56000 INR. Yes, the college has many central and state scholarships based on the eligibility criteria of the scholarship program. I am an SC category student so I got a scholarship from the state govt. And it will help me financially. I got a scholarship from the Odisha state scholarship program.
Campus Life
My college life in this college is fantastic as the college observed annual function in a minimum of 2 -3 days and it's like a festival for us. An annual fest is carried out by our department basically in the month of December. Annual sports day is also observed by the college in order to encourage students. After that, the winners attend district then state-level sports tournaments. The college has one generalized library and all the departments have their own library.
