Course Curriculum Overview

4

As from the end of my school I make up my mind that i want to learn about finance and make my career on finance field. The curriculum of the college and the syllabus of the college cover vast concepts of finance.

Fees and Financial Aid

The yearly fees for this college is somewhere around 1000. Other than these fees an examination form fillup charged semester wise 1000. This college is totally government funded that's why the fees are minimum. Also faculties are good and friendly. I persue bachelors in commerce. Also the college a has three 400seat boys and girls hostel which are out of the campus.

Campus Life

4

The college have different fest in different months like in August,September , December and February. Also the college has different pooja celebration like Ganesh pooja & Saraswati Pooja. The college has vast Library which is filled with more than 10000 books of different different courses and other branches. The annual sports day is totally filled with thrill and adventure which make it different from others.

Admission

I applied over 20 colleges and selected on 5 colleges from them I took admission on this college . The main reason behind not selected on other 15 colleges due to high cutoff in these colleges.The admission process is simple you have to register on sams site as student and fill the application for the college . The selection process is merit based. If you 12th marks meet the cutoff you can take admission in this college.

Faculty

4

The faculty to students ratio is quite low due to the faculty are recruited by the government. As I am in commerce department one our faculty Ashutosh sir is very student family and great teacher also. As the he teaches us is very impressive and make concepts very easy to understand.

Sambalpur University, Bachelor of Commerce [B.Com] {Hons.}

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum of B.Com under Sambalpur University covers important subjects like Accounting, Business Law, Economics, Management and Taxation which are essential for future studies and careers in finance or commerce. The structure is simple to follow and helps students build a good base in theory. Semester exams are conducted on time and the difficulty level is moderate. A student who consistently studies can score well without extreme pressure. However, there is a lack of practical exposure such as industry visits, internships or real-world business case studies. Also, subjects related to modern digital business trends like data analytics, advanced Excel, and GST practicals should be included to make students more job-ready. Overall, the curriculum is relevant but needs more updates to match the current professional requirements

The college is best in comparision to other colleges around the district. If the college can do something towards the campus placements and internships for the graduation students that would be great.
