Remarks

The management could be more active for 9 months we did not have a director as our director was being replaced. In the meanwhile , the deputy director was in charge. She handled pretty well but the placements suffered as there was less intervention of the director.

Entrance Preview

I took the SNAT test which is held in December. I have worked for 2 years in a consultancy firm for the BFSI segmnet, hence, I decided to pursue MBA in Banking Management.

Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course was in detail covering all the aspects of the banking and finance industry. It was mix of a practical and theoretical course. It was mandatory to do 2 months internship which the college provided. We had 4 semesters with 3 internal tests and a final test in each semester. The internals has 40% weightage and external had 60 %.

Internships Opportunities

The college does provide internship to all the students. Since we were BFSI students, most of the internships were in banks- wealth management, credit, fixed income amd marketing of financial services the general stipend was Rs 5000. The highest was given by SBI.

Placement Experience

4

I was in the placement team of the college placement were good with 98% of the students getting placed the highest package was given by J P Morgan Chase the companies that visited the campus: JP Morgan, ICICI bank, Axis Bank, Yes Bank, HDFC bank, Kotak Mahindra amongst many.

College Events

3.5

Banker's conclave, cricket festival between junior and seniors, Ice breaking between juniors and senior include many sports, fest involving treasure hunt, guest session by many bankers, dramatics and singing and dancing fest for the juniors investment banking fest, guest sessions by the placement committee, mock group discussion week, mock personal interview week.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee charged for a two year programme for MBA in banking anf Finance is Rs eleven lakhs which include the tuition fee and the hostel fee and the mess fee. We can pay the fee in installments by demand draft or cheque. The accounts department verifies it and gives us the receipt 11 lakhs include all the facilities as it was a residential campus.

Fees and Financial Aid

I did not avail any scholarship or loan during the admission procedure, representatives from many banks set up their stall to sell educational loan.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life was very good as it was residential campus on the hill top of Lavale, Pune. You see and interact with so many different kinds of people with different nationalities gender ration: Females: 30% Males: 70% many NRIs from the middle east, Nepalis and one from South Sudan.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

There were only two sharing and three sharing room there was no AC and no lift 4 floors , i is in the basement in the first year the college decides the sharing but in the second year we are given the option to choose our roommates the hostels are clean. every morning the maid comes to clean the hostel. In time in the girls' hostel is 2:00 AM.

Alumni/Alumna

We also have an alumni fest. The college is only 7 years old so not a big alumni base the alumni are mostly working with banks and few have started their won business.

Exam Structure

The exam schedule was hectic. The internals were accompanied with few extra classes. We had 2-3 internals a day we had 10 days leave as exam preparation before the external exam internals had 40% weight age externals had 60% weight age the timings of the internal and external exams were mostly in the afternoon.

Admission

Took the SNAT test which is held in December. I got the score in January. In February, I went to Lavale campus to give my group discussion and personal interview. I submitted my documents and did all the formalities for the admission process. In March I was shortlisted for the programme.

Faculty

3.5

The faculty is qualified and could communicate the information to the students. The faculty was a mix of internal (full time) professors and external faculty from the industry. Important subjects like Tax, risk management, wealth management , fixed income markets were taught by industry experts who gave us valuable insight of the market .

Remarks:

The college is very good. The campus is not a big one. It is a small campus but based on the batch strength it will suffice. Now overall college ranking is expected to increase because it is basically based on placement and the season started very well.
