Remarks

I applied for masters in Delhi University, JNU, Pune University, Hyderabad University but I couldn't make it in them although I scored good but still competition is very high. Online Entrance exam called SAAT was there. I got rank 27. Then got a mail regarding registration, where documents were verified in person and half admission fee was deposited. Online classes began thereafter a week and we were asked to apply for hostel and pay fee.

Course Curriculum Overview

3.5

I chose Biotechnology because it can help to find solutions to various problems related to environment, health and safety, drugs, food etc. Faculty in SOA is good but for North Indians there will be a language problem. We have all PhD faculty. Exams were easy, if you study regularly or just pay attention during lectures it's really easy. We have mid term exams and then end term in every semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

I think fee is a little more than what we are being provided here, labs were not that good. Few equipments were not in working condition. Conjusted labs only for 20-25. There is scholarship on the basis of merit, if you have score above 90% in 10th,12th and graduation then 20k and likewise for above 80% and 70% it goes on decreasing.

Campus Life

2.5

Because of the pandemic we had our semesters online so no such fests were held. Library has a good collection of books. The classrooms are big and open. There are several different societies you can join like photography, sports, arts and culture.

Hostel Facilities

3

Hostel rooms are open with accommodation for 3 in 1 room providing study table, cupboard for all 3. Bed without mattress. Bathrooms and urinals were separate, common for all 2-3 on each floor. With 2 sections with 10 bathrooms and 10 urinals in total. Mess is big, food is non vegetarian usually. We were served egg curry, fish curry, chicken, dal, rice, roti, and vegetables too. 4 time meal includes snacks. Those who want to apply for hostel have to fill form during registration process. There is separate hostel for international students, with attached bathrooms and little kitchen. There are pg nearby.

I personally like the contemplative aspect of this course that isn't available at any other universities, this fact itself makes this university unique on itself and it helps with your mental health and it's truly amazing considering that we're students of psychology.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I choose this course because I much interest in it. Student faculty ratios is good as per availability. Professor are available most of the time. They are all very qualified and are hired as per the minimum requirements criteria of the college. Exams are semester-wise and happen biannually. It's difficult to pass the exams if you don't study properly throughout the year.
