My academic experience

It is one of the best institute in India specialy in Geosciences subjects. Teaching quality of faculties are good enough. Research quality institute is also not bad. Software which has been useful for the respective Scholars are provided by the department.

I have been done Master in Applied geophysics and M.Tech in Geoexploration. I have been worked in CSIR laboratory in Hyderabad. I was little experience for research and development. I have one abstract paper during my master at IIT, Bombay.

Applied Geophysics, IIT(ISM), Dhanbad(i) 3-year M.Sc.Tech. Program in Applied Geophysics.(ii) Five years Integrated M. Sc. Tech. Programme in Applied Geophysics.(iii) 2-year M.Tech. Programme in Petroleum Exploration jointly with Deptt. of Applied Geology.(iv) 2-year M.Tech. Programme in Earthquake Disaster, Hazards and Mitigation now known as Earthquake Science and Engineering w.e.f. 2017-18 Academic year and onward.(v) Five years Integrated M.Tech in Applied Geophysics for IIT-JEE Admitted candidates from 2014-2015 session.Students seeking admission to the 3-year course in M.Sc Tech. in Applied Geophysics programme have to qualify in the ISM entrance examination, which is held every year at different centers throughout the country. Students are admitted to the 5-year integrated M.Sc. Tech. course in Applied Geophysics through IIT entrance examination after standard 12th examination held every year. Admission to the two years M.Tech programme is made on the basis of GATE score and satisfactory performance in an interview, generally held in July every year. Candidates sponsored by Govt./Semi-Govt./Public Sector undertakings are also admitted to the M.Tech programme and such sponsored candidates are not required to produce GATE score and are not eligible for scholarship. Candidates seeking admission to M.Tech programme without GATE scores will have to qualify a written test conducted by the school followed by interview; however, they are not eligible for any scholarships.

My fellowship during my PhD upto 31st March has been sponsered by SERB project. After this period upto the end of the PhD program , i will get the financial support from institute. I did not get fellowship from the institute after 31st , March 2021. Actually i get accumulated fellowship of 14 months. I didn't get fellowship since last 14 months because of lack of money in my project. I got entire fellowship of 14 months during April, 2021.

It strives to bridge the gap between the industry and the academia by providing them a common platform to discuss the future of technology in India. Our 3 day festival gives students any guest an exhilarating experience, ranging from challenging competitions to sit-back-and-relax entertainment shows.BasantBasant is the annual alumni re-union of ISM Dhanbad, Where the stars of the show were, at one time, the organizers of the show. The re-union is one of the most emotional times of the ISM calendar specially so for the Alumni of the ages past who come as close to re-living their summer of 69 as possible even if they are literally 69. The festival also infuses a sense of goodwill amongst a larger community comprising of students, teachers and alumni with their family members. The day usually starts with sports in the morning culminates with the grand dinner for more than 4000 heads sandwiched between the two are working lunch, assembly, fellowship, fete , entertainment programmes .ParakramParakram is the annual games and sports fest of IIT (ISM) Dhanbad. Encouraging the spirit of sportsmanship amongst the students, we aim to provide the platform for all major games and sports. Our team puts their best effort to bring the rise in competition amongst students to embark you to the best experience of your lifetime. We believe a healthy mind resides in a healthy body, thus bringing you to the grand festival of sports.

I am staying at Jasper Hostel at IIT, Dhanbad .For non vegetarian people mess of the hostel is not bad , because they will get 4 days nonvege without paying extra money. You will get Chicken biryani on Sunday at lunch time which is not bad, Friday you will get Fish curry in lunch, Monday you will get chicken curry in lunch and Saturday you will get chicken in dinner without paying extra.) But breakfast is very poor here , you will get sufficient amount of food. Generally they served either corn flakes with 250ml milk or few south Indian foods which very poor quality. probably Saturday, Sunday they served puri -sabji, ALU paratha respectively, quality of these food is good.
