It was the AIEEE examination. I got 10853 rank under All India Category. So I opted for EEE branch. It was the best and most branch of the college after mechanical engg. It was also because then, the PSUs used to come for recruitment and almost every one used to be placed in core sector only.

The curriculum is pretty much similar to that of IITs only. All the courses are spread across 8 semesters in 4 years. There are some courses common for most of the branches. Those courses are covered in the 1st year. From the 2nd year, each branch has their own courses and curriculum. There are faculties with specialisation in their course subject which makes the education process very efficient.

Yes, they do. As of now, its only for electronics students and computer science students. These internships are paid internships for 2 months (Rs 10000 per month).

There are too many software/IT companies coming to the campus with very high packages. In my time, the average package for CSE branch was above 9 LPA. Not all students got placed. And those who got placed had an average package of just 4 LPA. For Electrical and Mechanical, it was pretty decent. Almost 85% got places with an ave package of 6 LPA.

Its very cheap with respect to private colleges. In my time, it was just Rs 25500 per semester and about Rs 8000 fro mess. So in total its Rs 33500 per semester.

Scholarship, Yes. There are government scholarships for SC/SC/OBC students from both centre and state government. The state govt. provide about Rs 80K per year(vary from state to state) where as central govt provide about Rs.1.3 lakh per year. But its all on you as you can apply only for.

Each semester has about 8 to 10 subjects and each subject having 2 major examinations(one mid sem exam(30 marks) and the other is the end sem exam(50 marks)) and 5 classroom assessments(20 marks on average per subject). Along with it, you have Laboratory assignments and Tests(about 3 lab courses per sem).

There was an online counselling procedure, in which all the AIEEE qualified candidates used to fill their college/branch preferences and then based on their rank, they used to get their call letters. There were about 3 rounds, so that in case, in any round there is any seat vacant, then it be filled till the end.

The faculties are specialised in their course subject. Almost all the professors are PhD holders. So it makes the education process very efficient. They are very helpful and ready to serve any time. Even if you have any question from out of the course, they will sit and help you clear your doubt.
