Internships Opportunities
I interened with Reliance Industries Limited in the Petrochemicals department for a Supply chain project in my summer break. I received a stipend of 2 lakhs for a period of 2 months. I prepared a Traceability model for the pallet used in the product packaging and performed a feasibility analysis on the same.
Placement Experience
Students can avail placements by either Summer internship process by getting a PPO offer or by appearing in the Final placement session after the 3rd semester exams. Many companies in multiple field and branch come to campus for the hiring process. It is very competitive but opportunistic as well. Almost 100% placement is observed every year. Average CTC of 24 lakhs.
Fee Structure And Facilities
The cost of accommodation along with mess amounts to 50,000 per semester. It is included in the annual fees structure. Student loans available at 9% interest rates. No fees hikes noticed in 2 years. Got internship opportunities in Summer and winter breaks with decent stipends.
Campus Life
IIT B has the biggest campus in India with all the facilities and A1 infrastructure and accommodations. The library and the lit groups are very active. Sports and gym are at the core of the ecosystem. Students have a very active social life, living in the hub of Mumbai city and yet enjoying the peaceful and interactive campus life.
Hostel Facilities
For the 1st year, twin accommodations are provided. The room has basic facilities, a clean shared bathroom and mess. In the 2nd year students get individual rooms. Cost amounts to 50,000 per semester (included in the fees) along with mess fees.
