IIT Hyderabad stands among top 10 colleges of india due to its strong course work and extremely well research programs, faculties are highly experienced and serious about their work. Placement in iit hyderabad is getting better day by day. IIT Hyderabad campus is next level in infrastructure. It was designed by the Japan architecture. Yes iit hyderabad has strong collaboration with Japanese companies and institute. Jica program gives chance to research oriented students to study abroad with good scholarship.
Course Curriculum Overview
I wanted to work and do research in geotechnical field so i choose this branch in civil engineering department. In the department the faculty to student ratio is approx 1:2,all the faculties are highly qualified and belongs to top its, iisc and foreign institutions. The faculties methods depends on individual. Each faculty have their own way and method of teaching but the level and dedication remains the same for everyone.In course work students needs to give. Mid and end sem exam. The exams questions will be from only syllabus, no out of syllabus questions will be given. Exams will be difficult if student has minimal knowledge on subject.
Placement Experience
Btech student in 6th semester and mtechs in 3rd semester becomes eligible for campus placements. Every students mostly get placed here in iith. If not they have different career plans loke phds and startup of govn. Exam Preparation.
Fee Structure And Facilities
There is hardly any fee hike in campus. As an mtech student (regular) one has to pay approx 2 lakhs for 2 years and can afford it since he/she will get stipend of Rs 12400. No. Of Companies coming for placements in civil core is not that good hardly 2-3 companies visit to campus in civil core department. I haven't taken any job from campus Beacuse my plan is to do phd from abroad.
Campus Life
Life at iith is outstanding. One of the best foods from mess to cafeteria is available in campus. There is a super market in faculty tower accessible to both students and faculty.Talking about sports we have basketball, volleyball, badminton Court, tennis courts, cricket and food ball ground as well. As swimming pool.The new sports complex bigger than any iits is currently in construction phase.Currently iith has temporary library room for referencing books and reading it. But new library building is still in construction phase.The 3 days annual fest of iith is known as elan nvision and mostly they are conducted in month of February.Social groups : sunshine, nss iith, Infocus, rangmach, vibes etc
Hostel Facilities
Taking about mess food in iith, its 10 on 10 no doubt.menu is mixed of both South and North Indian cuisine. One can buy special items like chicken, biryani, deserts.. Etc,if not willing to eat mess food. Talking about pg hostel, pg students resides in shelter hostel for 1 years since new hostel is in construction phase. But in 2021 New one of its own kind hostel block known as ramanujan is on floor. And mostly every new admission now can live here. No more shelter hostels.
