Honest Review- [AMU], Aligarh

After filling the form we can download the syllabus from the university website for entrance. Then one can prepare for it and appear in the entrance test which consists of 100 Mark's after that they shortlist the candidates for the GDPI round. As every year the cutoff changes but I will say that one can get the interview call at 50+ Mark's. GDPI consists of 25 marks so overall Mark's will become 125 and after appearing in the GDPI the overall merit will declare. The overall cut-off will be around 65 out of 125 but it will change every year depending upon the level of difficulty of paper and the number of students appearing at the entrance and many other factors.

I have chosen it because it ranks 45 in India as per the Rankings of government. It will provide good ROI as compared to many other B schools. There are 15 students per teacher. So Faculty-student ratio is 1:15. Most faculty members are Amu Alumni and some of them have done their Ph.D. from Top B schools as well. They will conduct exams twice in a semester and the level of difficulty remains moderate if one has taken the classes seriously one can pass them easily otherwise one has to put in the effort to pass them.

I was offered the role of sales intern at Whitehat jr and they are providing me 12000 per month plus calling charge and net charge. They have provided me the list of the customers to whom I have to convince for the trial coding classes. There are many other classmates of mine who got many other offers which were also good.

From the third semester, the students get the offers. I am unable to recall the name of the company but yes there is one which is providing 14 LPA packages and the recruitment made by it is 0. The average package remains around 3.5 lakh per annum. Around 60% of the total students got the placement offer from the campus itself. I want to do a Ph.D. after the completion of the degree.

Fees are minimal as compared to other B schools. There are many scholarships for students as Alumni Association Scholarship, Departmental Scholarship, Scholarship for top performers and many more. I have got an internship from the campus in which they are providing me a stipend of 12000.

There are various fests that are conducted by the department almost every month. We do have a departmental library comprising of a vast variety of books and different journals from all over the world. There are many extracurricular activities like we have debate sessions on different hot topics such as digital marketing scope of it in the near future and many others.

Hostel facility is one of the best in our University as it charges minimal amount for the year and the dining charges are also minimal. As we have minimal charge of dining so if we talk about quality I will say that no one can provide that quality at such a low charge. The registration process for hostel starts from the application form filling as there we have to put yes when it asks for the hostel. After that when one gets admission hostel gets allotted but it will take some time for the allotment of the room.

We have written tests as well as GDPI. First, we have a written test based on the syllabus provided by the university on the official website of the university. After qualifying that one can be shortlisted for the GDPI round. For GDPI one can always be prepared on the current affairs part and maximum time the topic of GD will be from that only.
