Remarks

I applied for several colleges like Llyod, UPES, but I choose Banasthali because it prepares women leaders. The minimum criteria for getting admission to Law School is that you must have secured a 45% aggregate in Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination (12th). For admission, you can download the application form from its official website and send it to the campus by post. If your name is shortlisted you will receive a call letter within a month. On the counseling day, you have to report to the campus along with all your previous records like mark sheets, transfer certificates, etc. After a day-long verification of your documents, your admission will be confirmed.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

I chose this course because I aspire to be an advocate. For that, you must complete your law degree from a college recognized by the Bar Council Of India. The law school of Banasthali is recognized by the BCI. The Faculty: student ratio is quite good, all the faculty members are appointed after detailed scrutiny of their qualifications. Some of the faculty members are dedicated to teaching but in some cases, you have to study by yourself. This 5 year integrated course is divided into 10 semesters and each semester is of 5 months. There are 2 semesters in one academic year. Exams are conducted at the end of the semester and it is not that difficult to pass. If you regularly attend lectures you can pass the exams without any difficulty.

Internships Opportunities

4

You will have at least one month in each academic year to do your internships. You have to complete 20 weeks mandatory internship throughout the entire course. Generally, students apply as per their choice of interests and preferable locations. The college will provide you the detail if any vacancy for an intern is available but you have to apply and follow up by yourself. If you have an excellent CV with remarkable participation in Moot Courts and publications then you will get the paid internships easily. But again you have to find these opportunities by yourself. You can ask your seniors and teachers where to apply.

Placement Experience

3

Placement generally begins during the final semester. The law school of Banasthali was established in the year 2013 due to this reason placement is quite not good. But still, there are firms like Trans India law Associate, Niti Budh which visit the campus for placements. The highest package offered to date is 4-5 Lakhs per annum. Usually, 50-60 percent of the students get the job from campus placement. Most of the students start preparing for judiciary so they don't sit for campus placement. Some have their family background from this field so they join their family offices. You have an option to start practicing under some senior advocate, in this case also campus placement is of no use.

Fees and Financial Aid

Every year there is a 10 percent hike in the existing fee structure. The fee structure is the same as any other private college. You need at least 2 lakhs for one academic year. The scholarship is available based on your performance in internal tests. You can avail yourself of scholarships of up to 10,000 if you are good at academics. You have to find the internships by yourself and the placement of Banasthali's law school is yet not good.

Campus Life

4

Campus life at Banasthai is serene. It is covered with green lush areas and there is no pollution. It's a very environmentally friendly campus. The founders day is celebrated annually by the name of Apaji Mela. Various institutional fests are organized throughout the year. There is one big central library and there are several other small libraries in some departments. The infrastructure is nice, but the classrooms are not air-conditioned. Banasthali has its own gym and swimming pool. Also, you can join various sports and games like horse riding, badminton, etc. You can learn various dance forms or how to play various musical instruments since facilities are provided for these. You can join NSS or Banasthali Seva Dal which is run by students.

Hostel Facilities

4

There are three-seaters hostel rooms. Each student gets a bed, almirah, a table, and a chair. There are common let-baths that are shared by students. In mess, you will get a three-time meal accompanied with evening tea and snacks. Hostel food is of good quality and is quite affordable. There is a special meal every weekend.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Thr curriculum is designed in a way as a usual law college but the benefit of this college is that we have legal aid clinic , which the students have the opportunity to join. In curriculum we also have variety of electives till 4th yearof college. Which i think is good as students might get the opportunity to explore other subjects related to law and not related to law. The exams are held twice a semester and the difficulty level depends upon the faculty setting the question paper. Usually the difficulty level is of othe law universities. For improvement wise i dont have any suggestions

Placements from the campus for law students is not that good and honestly I don't think the student should rely on the campus placements instead they can participate in different events and improve their CV for getting a good job . The internships play a vital role in the career of a law students . Law students mainly focus on the judiciary exams and if not that then they can go for the corporate sector or litigation after that . Else they can also prepare for other exams such as UPSC or also go for higher education
