Entrance Preview

CET and comed-k . I scored average in CET ,my rank was around 40,000. In comedk my rank was around 18,000. I had the option of opting for information science engineering seat in jain college of engineering for my comedk rank.

Course Curriculum Overview

3

When I joined the engineering course in jain college of engineering, i was under the VTU curriculum at the time. But after getting a year back I was under jain university curriculum which had become a independent deemed university.this was quite confusing.

Internships Opportunities

College provided very few internships. Those that were given were like building college website and improving their services. So that they would have to pay for their college websites. Some internships were in collaboration with drones but only for a particular branch. Overall very poor.

Placement Experience

2.5

Placement was like 40 percentage of the entire students.the highest package of my batch was 9 lakh rupees.Few companies come for campus placement. Major companies were tata consultancy services, airtel, mico bosh etc. Campus placement process was like a eye wash. Because all colleges have a campus placement process even this college has one. It considerably became better under jain university campus placement than when it was under VTU board university.

College Events

1.5

The cultural ,technical and managements events are a few conducted by the college. But they encourage students to take part in various other college and inter college festivals. Attendance compensation is given to students who have applied for other fests and show proof of participation. The college doesn't not financially aid or compensate for participating in other fests or events.

Fee Structure And Facilities

The fee structure is expensive . Even for the course and for hostel accommodation. Those who are day scholars have the extra burden of wasting time on bus journey from Bangalore to kankapura which will be tiring and results in back problems. They charge money for all extra reasons in library, college uniforms, fines, etc. Fee structures is not fixed.

Fees and Financial Aid

I don't know. Some banks offer college loans like Canara banks and if u were a rank student then probably u can get some deduction fees or if u have sc/st quota then there might be reduction in fees.

Admission

I got into computer science engineering from the management quota of allocation of seats. The adminstration was quite bad, always collected unnecessary fines. College was far away for day scholars who travelled from Bangalore city. Being in hostel was good for college but would be an eye wash as most of the sport facilities was reserved for the international students of the jain school who share their campus with engineering students.

Faculty

3

The teachers were quite knowledgeable but lacked communication skills in English. Some teachers were really good in teaching and understand the curriculum by the students was made easy. But others were not at all good and we're dependent on giving important question or topics so that students could pass exams.

Placement Experience:

Placements at RNS Institute of Technology are good. Students become eligible for campus placements from the 6th or 7th semester. Many companies visit the college, including IT and core companies. Some of the common recruiters include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Accenture, and a few core companies for EEE. The average package is around 3 to 5 LPA, and higher packages are also offered for top-performing students. The highest package can go much higher depending on the company. Around 70–80% of students get placed, mainly in IT roles. For EEE students, core placements are limited, but there are good opportunities in software roles. The college also provides training and support for placements. After completing my degree, I plan to get placed in a good company and build my career.

Most of the students get placed from the campus placements. Students get eligible for campus placements from the fifth semester. Companies like HP, Infosys, Wipro come for recruiting and make offers from 3L per annum to 30 L per annum. Around 70 percent of the students get placed through campus placement. I plan on working for a dream company after completing my degree.

Placement Experience:

I applied to colleges like BMSIT and Sir MVIT, and I had confirmed seats there, too. I chose RNSIT because it has a better reputation for placements in my branch and the campus environment felt more welcoming. I didn't get into RVCE because my KCET rank wasn't high enough for their top branches, as the competition was very tough that year. The admission process is simple. They mainly take students through KCET and COMEDK. You need at least 45% in your 12th boards (PCM). Most students prefer KCET because the fees are lower. Once the seat is allotted through counseling, you just visit the campus, submit your documents, and pay the fees. The whole process was quite smooth and well-organized."

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is very unique, and very new, we are not taught irrelevant subjects and topics like every university does, Polaris school of technology (PST) is a new gen college which mainly focuses on tech, producing the best engineers not amongst india but amongst the world, it's aim is to produce engineers who are better than IITians and MITians, all these specifications influenced me to choose this course/curriculum When it comes to real-world applications, Polaris school of technology(PST) gives us real-life problems and scenario based projects through evaluations which help us in the future and helps us to build a proper approach for problems and train us to be the best. We have two main exams per sem which would be conducted every 3 months that is ½th of the sem, we have a total of 8 sems, so total 16 exams, our exams would be difficult for other college students, but not for us as we have the best mentors.
