The admission process is not that lengthy, You can get to the college through jee mains, ojee or GIETEEE You can also consult the admission cell, whose number is provided by the college on their website.

Course Curriculum Overview

The faculty and students ratio is also good. Faculties are very well qualified and have years of teaching experience. Term exams are not that hard as the teachers are ready to help you out at any moment you need.

Internships Opportunities

Companies take students for internships in 3rd year. Several companies in the field of software development, data management, Android development, cybersecurity give internships. You can also look for internships in companies other than the college ones.

Placement Experience

The placement is not that good because many big companies don't visit giet. Although several companies do but don't provide you with handsome packages. The students get placed in TCS and Tech Mahindra and the highest package was offered about 12 lakhs/annum.

Fees and Financial Aid

My Tuition fees are about 1,34,000 per year. i.e, 67,000 per semester, The fees are not that high if compared to other colleges in Odisha, and the quality they provide. You can apply for an education loan from any bank.

Campus Life

There are about 5 lakhs + books available in the library. The sports such as cricket, kabaddi, football, basketball, volleyball, swimming, badminton are mainly played here. There are clubs for robotics, photography, personality development and others too.

Hostel Facilities

The 1seater, 2seater and 3seater rooms are available in the hostel, it's all up to your choices which one you want. The mess food is also good, the food has got varieties, but don't expect too much in the mess.

Our college give good placement but packages are very low package start with 150000 and end in 700000 . But you study properly then you try pursuing higher studies. 40% students placed but below 400000 . after completing you try off campus placement then you secured good salary on good company.

placements are average...not feels like an iit but its ok ...this yaer percentage of placement was 90% and highest ctc was of 67.4 LPA with median of 12LPA and average of 17 LPA ...most of the placements for SDE roles. My plan is to finish my degree as soon as possible and get placed for a SDE role so that i can survive

The placement stats of IIT Bhubaneswar are quite good. For the 2025 placement season, the highest CTC was 67.6 LPA and the mean CTC was 14.5 LPA, with a total of 22 PPO offers. Approximately 90% students were placed this year. Major recruiters were Google, Oracle, Zomato, Goldman Sachs, NVIDIA and Meesho. This year, there were 5 international offers (4 from Accenture Japan and 1 core offer from Niterra Japan).

Honest and Genuine review of NIT Rourkela

Placement Experience:

So the students become eligible for placemant usually from the 7th semester of the Btech which is from the 4th year and the internship opportunities are available from the 3rd year onwards that is from 5th and 6th semester. So in year 2024-25 the number of companies that visited The campus is around 330 And the total job offers offered is about 1200. So the highest package in the EC branch is about 1.2 crore per annum and the average package for the EC branch is around 13 to 14 lakhs. And the Profile of jobs are core electronics, VLSI and semiconductor roles ,system and embedded developments, software engineering, IT services, consulting and analytics. The percentage of student which are getting placed are in the range of 90 to 99% for ECE branch. The top recruiters are Apple Google, Microsoft, Amazon, wipro, Deloitte, Tata,Vedanta etc. After completing my degree in ECE from NIT Rourkela my plan is to join the core technology sector as a VLSI and semiconductor engineer in a reputed multinational Companies, leveraging the strong foundation and industrial exposure gained during my studies in case I do not secure a campus placement I aim to pursue the off campus opportunities in electronics, IT or analytics sectors. Alternatively I am open to perceive higher studies in MBA to specialize in the management sector.

Placement Experience:

the placement is also not that much great. they are very few companies TCS and Infosys are the mass recuriter here . The core companies are close to null . So you have to go to only to the IT companies that to at a very low package . My students work for as low as 2.5 lac per annum . This year almost everybody was between 3lac to 10lac bracket . The highest on campus package are about 25 lac . Not more than that most of time. and the average package is almost about 3-4 lac per annum . The percentage of the students placed is also really bad . Most of the students have to hurdle by himself.

Placement Experience:

Campus placement is descent. Some of the student opt for higher studies. Almost 80% get placed with good packages.some goes for gate exam. I also know a senior who have gate AIR of 42. I am planning for gate along with my degree.companies like Hpcl , cpcl, exon mobil usually come here for recruiting.

GIET UNIVERSITY - Best place to learn in southern odisha

According to money factor this college is great. Under such low fee college is great for providing course other than any college. I applied for SOA University and course fee is too high there. Also my college is a university. So there is no worry about anything. For admission in giet you have applied for OJEE odisha and contact a marketing officer or direct join in college. You have to pay 10-15 thousand rupees for advance fees. In admission day you have to pay hlaf of your fees in one year. You will get everything in that day. Rank doesn't matter here...Read More
